Mac Knife Japanese Series Nonstick Sushi and Sashimi Knife, 8-1/2-Inch

I really had very little hesitation ordering this knife from amazon, but the speed and with it arrived, and the follow through was great! The package arrived more than quickly, and the packaging was really overkill for the blade. I could not have been more pleased with the speed and service. The MAC knife itself? Truly an amazing value, considering how sharp and precise this knife is. Completely and absolutely worth the price, no "If's, and's or but's" Could charge double for this blade, and it would be in line, but for $80.00? Crazy good value.

Sharpest, lightest chef's knife I've ever owned, no visible wear after two months of heavy usage. Also the most expensive knife I've ever owned, so perhaps I don't have the best basis for comparison, but I love this thing.

So i have been using this knife nearly everyday in a professional setting and overall it is a pretty good knife. I will start off with what i liked and move onto what i didn't like. First off when this knife came out of its box it was razor sharp, and i do mean like a razor. By far the sharpest knife i’ve bought. Also the knife is well balanced and very light weight. The blade also has a good bit of bend to it which i was afraid to test the limits of. Which brings me to the dislike portion of this review. What i don't like is how fragile the blade is. The tip was knocked into a cutting board with just the slightest amount of force and it broke the tip. Although a very small chip that will come ut with its first sharpen but it is worth mentioning. Also in my opinion the nonstick coating doesn't really do much. Aside from make the knife look pretty cool admittedly. Overall a good buy for the price.

Flexible, sharp, easy to sharpen!

My husband is a professional chef and this is his GO TO sushi knife. He loves it. He actually bought this one for his sous chef for Christmas since his sous chef fell in love with his knife. It cuts sushi perfectly and prevents everything from sticking to the knife.

Very good beginners sushi knife,stays sharp a long time,this is the best price I've found including restaurant supply companies.

Knife arrived super fast, within 3 days of placing the order. I'm very happy with the quality of this blade. I've only used it once so far but could shave with it out of the box.
