Shampoo for Scalp Acne – Clear Scalp from Acne, Zits and Pimples 6.0 oz

Tried this once and it definitely does what it says. Made most of the scalp acne gone and the rest have shrunk. It does have a smell but its the tea tree oil in it, so while it is strong it isn't terrible. Seems to have quite a few essential oils in it, but the tea tree definitely takes over in the odor department. All in all a good product.

Over the years I’ve tried so many different products and shampoos to help with scalp acne, but none ever helped. I even saw a dermatologist who prescribed oral medication. While the meds helped with chest and back acne, they did nothing for my scalp acne. I finally found Ovante Acne Zap shampoo and conditioner. I’ve used almost an entire bottle and so far this has helped more then any other product. My scalp is still slightly itchy with a few little bumps, but nowhere as bad as it used to be. I’ve read reviews on Amazon complaining about the smell, but I don’t mind it and it fades after you shower. It contains a few essential oils that have an earthy, woodsy smell. If you’re used to floral scented shampoos, it might take some getting used to. It’s worth it in the end. I’m nervous because I first found this on Amazon, and today I didn’t see it there. I really hope you continue making this shampoo and conditioner for years to come. Thank you!

Didn't work for what was needed.

This shampoo is special because, in addition to providing freshness, it helps a lot with dandruff and pimples that can be caused by excessive scratching. It doesn't have an unpleasant odor, which makes it even better.

I read reviews before buying warning that I would need to get used to the bad chemical smell of this product. I was not prepared. Believing it was worth it to help my acne I opened the bottle and used a small amount during my evening shower. The smell was pungent to say the least. "No biggie" I thought, it will wash out and my conditioner will smell a lot better. I couldn't have been more wrong. It did not rinse out, my conditioner did nothing to help. There I am lying in bed trying to sleep and finding it impossible due to being smother by the reek freely billowing from my scalp. After a couple of hours I had simply had enough. I went back to the shower and put every single shampoo, soap, face wash, and any other scented product I had into my hair one after the other to try and remove the villain. 2 showers and a half bottle of conditioner later, I had nothing left to try. With the offending odor mostly removed, I put a few drops of essential oil on my fingertips and ran it through my hair to cover up the remaining scourge. I promptly burned my bed sheets and pillow, and threw the shampoo in the trash 10 miles away. Highly recommend finding another solution to your scalp acne.
