Great little coffee containers. 11 oz is well sized for 5-cup basket filters, too.
I love these coffee containers and ultimately bought 3 more after buying the initial one to try. I now have two 11 oz and two 16 oz containers. I use the 11 oz for my paper basket filters to keep them clean and the 16 oz for my coffee. The containers seal well, and the latch is easy to use. I have never had an issue with coffee going stale in these containers, though I admit that I drink enough coffee that it isn't sitting in there for months on end. I find that the included scoop is perfectly sized for my usage with my 5-cup coffee maker, so it was an added bonus.

Keeps Coffee Beans Fresh—and Looks Good Doing It!
I never knew a coffee canister could feel like a premium upgrade, but this sleek little marvel totally elevated my morning routine. 🏺 Design Excellence: Minimalist, modern, and compact—this canister adds style to any countertop. The matte finish and clean lines make it look way pricier than it is. But beyond looks, it’s built to last. The durable construction stands up to daily use without a scratch or dent, and the smart addition of a built-in spot to store the included measuring spoon? Absolute perfection. No more digging through drawers—everything stays right where you need it. 🗓️ Smart Date Feature: The integrated date dial makes it easy to track when you stored your coffee. A small touch with a big impact—it keeps you organized and ensures you're always brewing the freshest beans. 🌱 Freshness That Lasts: This isn’t just hype—my beans stayed fresh and aromatic for well over a month. Even weeks in, opening the lid releases that deep, roasted scent like I just brought them home yesterday. It’s rare to find form, function, and thoughtful extras all rolled into one. This canister delivers.

Fresh coffee grounds for a great cup of Joe
I have four of these, two for home, drip and espresso grounds, one for work and one for camping. They work great to keep your coffee grounds fresh

Very good storage for both coffee beans and ground coffee
Solid construction, CO2 valve is a plus, and nice design. The only quibble is with the date tracker. Seems like a nice addition, but it doesn't work. I have two Gators and the monthly disk indicator does not move on either container. That said, I didn't buy it for the tracker as I'm not storing coffee more than a month. Still, it is one of the key marketing points of the product and what seems like a simple function does not work.

It seemed good and the reviews looked solid so I went ahead ...
I am part of a small coffee "club" at work and we buy a giant 2.5lb bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee that lasts about a month. By the end of the month, and the bag, the coffee is stale. It smells and tastes much different than it did when it was new and it was always so obvious when we hit the end and opened a new bag. I decided to try out some containers to help keep it fresher longer and found this canister. It seemed good and the reviews looked solid so I went ahead and bought a couple (needed 2 to fit 2.5lbs of ground beans, in fact it fits perfectly when we open a new bag, scoop enough for a 12 cup pot, then pour the remainder in the canisters). I've tried a few different containers at home over time, and usually there's one thing I end up not liking about them. I had a glass jar from Walmart that seemed pretty good, but the metal latch was really wonky and did not close easily. A plastic container I tried had the rubber seal change colors on me after a few weeks, and even worse, trapped some water inside the hollow walls when I cleaned it. I have not found any issues with this canister. The latch is smooth, while definitely feeling like it gets a nice, tight seal on the lid. The material being stainless is great, it will be a breeze to clean if I ever feel the need to do so, probably just a quick wipedown with a damp cloth would do the trick. The dial on top is handy to remind you how long the coffee has been in there. On one of the two I bought the dial numbers were slightly off center from the window, but it wasn't a big deal. I really like the bonus stainless steel scoop, which replaced our little plastic one at work that had seen some miles. This one should last forever. So down to it, does this thing keep the coffee fresh? Less than a week ago we finished off the first bag since I bought the canisters. Comparing the last bit of coffee in the canister to a new bag, there was a slight difference in aroma, but nothing even remotely close to what I experienced before. The coffee definitely seemed much more consistent over the entire month. So I would say it was a very successful run, and I am glad I invested in these!

Over-engineered and overpriced product but container is good. Updated: high quality, looking great canister that worth the price
The container is definitely over-engineered: there are two scales on the lid and they can be used to set the day and month when the beans were put into container or expiration date. However, the year cannot be set and in principle, these scales are not needed anyway: this is a container, not a calendar, plus, coffee lovers consume a pound of beans pretty quickly and I personally, don't need and don't use this "calendar" at all. The same with the stainless scoop - it is too small and not needed at all. I believe these amendments makes the container overpriced. Container is good, it keeps beans fresh and if you don't mind to spend extra bucks for useless features or to support the manufacturer, buy it. Update (after 2 months use) In fact, this canister is great: it keeps coffee so fresh that I don't distinguish aroma and taste of Lavazza beans stored in the container for two month and purchased right now (I intentionally experimented with that). Canister also looks very attractive because of slick and simple cylindrical shape, brushed stainless steel (exactly as shown on the picture), and black enamel on top. It is important that 1 lb canister is able to keep a bit more than a pound of coffee beans because the lid does not go deep inside the canister. Overall, every time I open it I enjoy not only a good espresso, but also look of the canister. Of course, there are the cheaper canisters on the market but this one worth the money I paid even if I don't use the scoop (my espresso machine has build-in coffee grinder) and dials. This canister is definitely of great quality product.

TOP

I expected more from this container. The dial on the top is redundant (Or maybe I just drink too much coffee?) - The latch does not feel very well made and as a result I worry about the seal.
