Works Great as Mouth Tape
I use this tape for my mouth while using my CPAP. It’s the best tape I’ve found for what I need. I use three pieces of tape every night. It stays in place really well. It is very sticky so take care when removing it. It doesn’t leave any residue, but if taken off too quickly, it can cause a chapping area on your skin. Will continue to purchase this tape.

Gentle tape that holds without irritation
This tape sticks well while still being gentle on skin. Easy to tear by hand and works well for light dressings or securing gauze. Pros: gentle, breathable, reliable hold Cons: not meant for heavy-duty securing Bottom line: Excellent medical tape for sensitive skin.

Super gentle for fragile skin.
Otherwise known as “paper tape”. This my go to for holding gauze or other dressings in place on fragile skin. It is easy to tear and comes off easily. The adhesive is not strong but the tape is thin and lays on the skin such that it adheres well. It is water resistant and pretty tough.

DO NOT USE THIS AS MOUTH TAPE!
Many reviewers said they used this as a mouth tape for sleeping, so I tried it. Do not use it that way! Proper mouth tape holds all night, yet releases easily when necessary, without damaging the skin. This stuff holds hard, and must be wet with a great deal of water to prevent tearing lips upon removal. If for any reason you started to choke while this tape was covering your mouth, the result would be dangerous, because it does not release. Note that this is not marketed by the manufacturer for use as mouth tape. It is fine as a general purpose medical tape.

Best tape for cropping
This was recommended to me by my new breeder. It is as wonderful as his dogs. Wish I had known about this tape for my previous dobermans.

Same tape they use at the hospital
Micropore tape has been used in hospitals for at least as long as I can remember...my mom always had a roll or two on her stethoscope. Now that she's retired I have to buy it. The 3M Micropore Surgical tape is the same stuff my mom had. It has good sticking power without ripping out too many hairs when removing. Easy to tear into whatever size you need but doesn't rip. Micropore feels almost like fabric...it is soft and unobtrusive. This package is 12 rolls so should last me a decent amount of time. Price was great.
