As a new fishing angler, I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this tool kit, thinking it might be of lower quality due to its affordable price. The fish grip tool has proven to be quite effective, though I must admit it can be a bit too strong for smaller fish. Nevertheless, it has been reliable for most of my catches. Everything is great but the fish grips I catfish so they don’t have enough grab but if your doing bass or crappie would be perfect for you ima give it five stars just because the pliers are great and the weigh machine works just fine

Great on the boat

I bought these kits for each of my two grandsons for Christmas. They're fortunate to live near several fishing destinations within a short walk from home and big enough to supervise themselves for an afternoon of fishing fun. I visited last summer and taught them the importance of throwing fish back after catching if they were not going to be eaten. I told them that it was better to share the fish by letting someone else catch and release it or catch it again another day rather than deplete the local fishery. The kids have cell phones with cameras that they can prove their catch to friends, but capturing the weights and lengths of fish in photos is impossible. The kit comes with a carrying case and includes a scale that is quite accurate and a tape measure is built-in for added function. It also comes with pliers and a fish gripper which are important for catch-and-release fishing. Hooks can be easily removed with the pliers and the fish gripper allows you to handle the fish while removing a hook without causing the fish injury before returning it to water. Gifts like this are bound to create fish stories and lifetime memories for my grandsons.

Decent set for its price. My net did come apart on the first day.
