My kiddo is a huge Blaze fan and saw this book's cover on the back of another Little Golden Book and was asking for it since. It's a pretty good book-version of a show's episode, not too annoying for a parent to read - and my little guy loves the interactive dialogue and the pictures.

I have a certain fondness for Little Golden Books, we have a few now so we knew what to expect with the quality of the books. The illustrations are bright and attractive. Yes the pages may be of a lesser quality than some books but the other books we've had from the Golden Books rage have lasted us a while after a lot of repeated use. My three year old loves Blaze so thus this one has been read every night for the past few weeks, it still looks good to me despite being a tad fed up of reading the same story over and over.

My 4-year old daughter loves Blaze (me, I'm more of a Zeg girl), and Bouncy Tires! is a favorite at our house. If you have watched the show, you'll probably recognize the story, as it's one of the most ridiculous episodes so far - which is why it's so fun. The book is a 'novelization' of the episode of the same name, though the story here is missing a few scenes from the TV version. If you are unfamiliar with Blaze and the Monster Machines on Nick Jr, the show introduces STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts in a way that is easily digestible for the Pre-K set. This particular episode introduces the concept of adhesion, while reinforcing the show's regular theme of scientific methodologies like testing hypotheses. Forget the part about this being recommended only for boys. If your child likes silly stories, trucks, or even dinosaurs - this is a Zeg the dinosaur truck centered episode/book - s/he might like this one. The illustrations are crisp and faithful to the show, and the binding is typical of the Little Golden Books imprint. The plot is recognizable from the television show, though condensed into a 5-minute read. Great for pre-bedtime and pre-naptime reads, and fun to read aloud.

My granddaughter picked this out on line and I bought it for her Easter basket. We enjoyed reading it together.
