Given as a gift to my sister. She is happy with it. Likes the vintage look and compliments her dresses.

I wore this for 3 very long days at an antique show. I was helping a friend with her booth. With the "Y" design I did not have to worry about the glass or chain sliding around. This was great because the chain did not get caught in my long hair even when I wore it down instead of in a pony tail. I cannot tell you how many times people would say, "Let me use your glass!" Over my head it would go and did not get tangled even once. The glass itself is good quality. There is little to no distortion and there were no complaints from anyone all weekend long. I even found some marks on some of my friend's jewelry she did not know was there. I find this item pretty. I received several compliments, which was nice, but even if it were not so pretty it would still be just as functional! One more thing about this well built piece, it is made in the U.S.A.!

This is a great necklace. It is indeed larger than one might guess from the description (as many other reviewers have so kindly pointed out. thank you!). The length is perfect for me (at 5'5") and the heavier weight matches well with sweaters and tunics. Very happy with the fashion and the functionality of this necklace.

I was a little dubious about this necklace as you cannot tell what you are going to get from an on-line picture. I was buying it as a gift for an elderly aunt. I was interested in not only the beauty as a piece of costume jewelry, but also the clarity/magnification of the glass. I was not disappointed on either score. This is definitely inexpensive costume jewelry but looks much more expensive (purchased the silver-tone). I tested the magnifying glass and could detect some noticeable magnification. It is not a lot but I am hoping it will be enough to help her read some small print on food labels (as one use). I cannot speak to the long-term performance/quality of this item, but I have never been disappointed in the 1928 line of jewelry. Hope this helps ...

I went back and forth on ordering this necklace and am now very happy that I decided to get it- I wore it the day after I got it! The necklace itself looks like it was made very well- and it is heavy but not overly so. One of my co-workers even thought it was a heirloom- it looks so nice and intricate. To be honest, the copper is a little shiny for my liking but I am sure that over time it will dull a bit and be a perfect piece of jewelry that will last me a very long time. I did not buy it for the functionality of the magnifying glass- however my husband discovered that the magnifying glass works fairly well and now thinks it is a play-thing (lol)!!

Junky. A small section of gold missing from the front. The back is junky looking. Not worth the $45.

This is an incredibly beautiful necklace. I love the colors and how it sparkles, as well as how long it is. It is a nice accessory and can be dressed up or dressed down. However, the first time I wore this necklace, the chain broke. I do not own any tools to fix jewelry so haven't been able to wear it again. As a result, I am giving it three stars.

I just received my copper tone magnifying glass necklace in the mail and I must admit it is nicer than I expected. It has a nice substantial feel and quality to it with just enough sparkle. It will come in handy when I do not have my reading glasses at the ready to read the fine print on labels, etc. I hope this necklace stays as nice as it looks today for a long time to come. I'm thinking it will receive compliments when I wear it out as well as curiosity as I have never seen anything like this on anyone else before. I got this at a special price and would consider purchasing a couple more as gifts if I had the opportunity to at the same price. Really a lovely piece.

Very nice, so hard to find one out looking in stores and I enjoy 1928 items and thought this would be a good one, I was right. I get compliments and find it very useful for looking at small items with small print. Very nice chain and adornments.

Absolutely gorgeous !!!!! I have only worn this once and got many compliments !!! I am physically disabled, so I don't get out much! I loved the heart shaped magnifying glass pendant that Miss Marple wears, and set about to find something similar. The company sells many Art Deco style types of jewelry, I will definitely be back to treat myself to other things in the range !!!!

The magnifying glass is quite small, however, it is useful for reading the tiny print of medicine bottles etc. I am happy with my purchase.

Although the necklace is lovely and appears well made, I was VERY disappointed that the paper tag attached to it clearly stated CHINA. I purchased it because it was supposed to be made in the USA. NOT pleased with the seller. Will keep it because it is really nice.
