Informative and well written, plenty of great photos, would recommend to any tank fan!

I love this book! It's absolutely perfect for people who want to understand the basics of the tank without getting bogged down in a ton of technical details. Not that there's anything wrong with detail, but sometimes "just the basics" is great. Readers will get a nice overview of the T54/T-55 and quickly be able to differentiate between the different models and variants. There are very nice sections of the T-55 in action. Most importantly, for Kindle Fire users, many of the photos are perfectly crystal clear. You can zoom in and see a ton of detail.

Provides a comprehensive overview of the T-54/55 tanks. Interesting read with a good selection of pictures. More details on its combat performance from a users perspective would be great as details on this aspect of T-54/55 write-ups is lacking.

Entrée en matière correcte pour le non spécialiste qui désire mieux connaître l'histoire de ce blindé omniprésent durant les dernières décennies en dépit de ses grandes limites. Le texte et les commentaires sont sans prétentions ; idem pour les photos en noir et blanc. En bref de l'A. T. Jones acceptable, ce qui n'a pas toujours été le cas pour d'autres ouvrages, rédigés et illustrés "à la va-vite commercialement"....
