Stylish and Cool
I don't really understand nor agree with the low star ratings. I LOVE my fish "hotel" and it is of good quality. It is super stylish and my betta seems happy in it. I have had no leakage problems and cleaning is EZ. Looks great on my office desk and I enjoy watching "Horton" through the windows. Some complained about the windows and not being able to see their fish. I can see my beautiful betta just fine! In fact, it's cute when he swims up to the the window nearest me begging for food and/or attention...very cute :) With the tumbled sea glass beads ( Tumbled Matte Beach Sea Glass Beads ) I also purchased on Amazon, my betta set-up looks awesome. In fact, several co-workers have since ordered the same aquarium after seeing mine.

Very Happy
My boyfriend hinted that he really wanted fighting beta for his office. I found these things on [...] which linked me to Amazon. I ordered 2 of them, little pricy but free shipping was awesome! I think they arrived in 2 days. the packaging was excellent. They are very sturdy, no scratches or imperfections. They even came with a little instruction card for setting up a beta enviroment. I had them sent to his office on his birthday and met him for lunch with the 2 fish. He was elated. I wish i could put pictures up here. They look so modern and clean, and so far the fish are doing very well in their new homes. Very cool present and perfect for an office.

Love the look of this tank...
I like the overall appearance of this tank, but there are a few drawbacks. Obviously, not having a lid is an issue as mentioned by some other reviewers, but this was designed to be stackable, so this could be one reason why they didn't make a lid for it. They are hoping for you to buy a second one and use that as a lid. =) Fortunately, it's not that difficult to find a cover for it. I am going to get a piece of plexiglass for mine. Although...I am tempted to stack another one on top and just fill it with plants as decoration. Aside from this being "lidless", I am also concerned that my fish is more likely to jump out through the two side openings than out from the top opening. An option is to keep the water level down, but this is can be a bit challenging, as the glass tank is only six inches high, and I want to be able to give my betta enough water to swim around. They could have made the glass tall enough to cover the openings and still achieve the same overall appearance, although I do understand that these openings would be necessary if you intend on stacking them. They become convenient feeding holes and also make it easy to lift and carry the whole tank. If you do decide to cover the openings, you'd only be able to do it from the outside, which would take away from the appearance, however, covering it from the inside would make it difficult to remove the glass tank. It would have been nice if the cover could be pulled off from the top, instead of having to lift the glass out of it. Don't expect to see your betta all the time, as the design partially obstructs the view of the tank. Since this is only a one gallon tank, don't plan on putting any other types of fish in this tank other than a betta. I like the fact that the picture on the box shows a betta. I have seen too many small tanks packaged in boxes with pictures of fish that belong in much larger tanks. Although I was able to fit a filter ( Hagen Elite Underwater Mini Filter, UL Listed , a heater ( Marina C10 Compact Heater, 10-Watt ), and a couple of small plants in there, I would love to have a five gallon version of this tank that comes with a lid and the glass being tall enough to cover the side openings. Overall, I like this tank. The quality is excellent, and the glass is thick, so it seems to be pretty solid. As I am writing this, my betta is swimming happily in his new condo. So until he acts otherwise, this tank is a keeper. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): Total Dimension: 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" x 8" Glass Dimension: 7-1/8" x 7-1/8" x 6"

The Ritz
This is just the cutest hotel for fish. I don't know who came up with the concept but it's the Ritz for fish. It is bigger than expected but just right for my grandson's dresser. I would give it 10 Stars but we only have five to pick from. No filter but it's a gold fish or beta fish residence!

Trendy, but High Maintenance
I like the look of the tank, but it's a hassle having to clean it every week. Therefore, I purchased a 1-3 gallon water filter, but the tank was not deep enough for the pump. Now half of the pump is out of the water, which is a slight eye sore, but at least I don't have to clean the tank again (maybe). By the way, I had to purchase this item twice because the first time, the glass tank did not fit inside the white frame. The second time, the glass fit, but there were minor scratches to the glass and the white frame was dirty.

It was a disappointment :( it is extremely cheap looking on both glass container and plastic cover. Also the item description on capacity is totally off. Glass container is ONLY ONE gallon big, not 2 gallons. Though the pictures look great and design was so modern, I returned the received item.

absolutely no complaints!
I've had three of these for several months now and I have no complaints. I have a betta in each and have two stacked with one on the side. I love the mod design and the fact that each bowl holds close to a gallon gives each of my betta a decent amount of space in a modern, compact design. they are easy to clean and I change the water every two weeks. it doesn't take long to clean and each of my betta are very happy with their homes. I'd highly recommend buying one or two!

Great!
I really love the tank! I read reviews first- to find out there werent actual "rooms" so thankfully I wasnt expecting that. (maybe I was silly for expecting that?) When you first pull it out you may think- aw its feels kinda cheapy- but afer you set it out- you realize it looks awesome. I really lov eit. The top portion of the tank sort of acts as handles- so the actual tank/water part doesnt go up that far. I'm not sure if I would ever "Stack" them. I'm sure it would be fine- but I would worry that if I bumped it, it wouldn't stay together. Could look SUPER cool- but I am too clumsy for that!
