Titon's Worlds of Music: An Introduction to the Music of the World's Peoples: 4-CD Set

CD not included but save me a lot.

Like I said, it is a great book, in depth and interesting. Although the author could have used a lesson in paraphrasing and outlining the chapters, perhaps with chapter summery, but overall I was satisfied with the book and especially the class! Balinese Gamelan music and Carnatic Indian music is by far some of the coolest beats ever!

Son for college

The Kindle Edition is missing many text and musical notation examples from the print book, and are replaced by "Text not available due to copyright restrictions." This makes the Kindle edition of this text unsuitable for use in a university course. Cengage and Amazon should not have released the electronic version of this book in this state.

I was really relieved that the CD's arrived so quickly! College classes had already begun and I needed these FAST! I was thrilled to see that I got EXACTLY what I was expecting, gently used merchandise yet still in tip top condition for listening. You will certainly be glad you purchased from this seller, as I was :)

Frustrated that we had to buy the book and CDs separately. It was clear from the description that the book purchase does not include the CDs, but what is not as clear is that the "CD Set" is not the inclusive book and CDs set, it is just the CDs. We bought the CD set and then had to come back later and buy the book when we realized that they were entirely separate. So, we did not have the book on time for class. Kinda irritating.

This was a very concise and comprehensive book about cultures of music and it gave a great outline of how to do ethnomusicology studies in different musical cultures. Great read. Very thick book
