Works really well.
I purchased this foot for my Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 sewing machine. The foot was easy to install, but I did have some difficulty getting it to work (to catch the fabric to make the pleat). I took a break from it and watched a video on YouTube on how to use and I quickly got it to work. The trick that got it working was to move all the moving parts a bit to get them to flex and move easily. Really good quality.

A good foot for a good machine.
Okay so I bought a generic version of this for my old machine and it broke needle after needle after needle. The machine was limping along anyways so I am not sure if it was the machine or the foot. So, I get my new machine and was terrified to get a new ruffler foot. I needed it, so I decided to get the name brand. The new machine does such a great job, I figured it deserved a name brand ruffler foot. This one worked great. It has multiple settings that are as simple as moving a lever. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and it doesn't break needles. That was the best part. The pleats are perfectly even and easy to iron and work with when done. I am glad I went with this foot. This is a personal note. If you are used to sewing straight lines and you are pretty fast with it, this will teach you to SLOW DOWN!!!!!! I make a lot of pet products and there are lots and lots of straight lines and easy stitching. I am pretty fast when I am making over 200 bandanas at a time. You can't go fast with this foot. You have to take your time. This foot will attempt to teach you patience. I say attempt because it is agonizing for me to sew this slow...but I am not giving up. I will learn to take my time. I will, I swear.

Broke my machine
This works in theory but every now and then it would wiggle while sewing and the needle hit the metal on the ruffler which caused several parts of my machine to break on the inside causing me to have to buy a whole new sewing machine. Granted, my sewing machine was from the 90’s so just use with general care and if the needle seems to close to the metal ruffler needle hole, don’t risk it.

I never used one and I love it. I learned easily after right tutorial and ...
Ok, I have to say I was a bit iffy on whether I should get this for the price and if it would fit my Singer Classic, not a fancy sewing machine. I also have a Pfaff, but my basic Singer has worked as back up and period. It worked well with my singer Classic. I scan the code to download the video on how to use, but it took me to another ruffler foot. I decided to look at other utube videos and if you research enough you'll find someone that has made what you are looking for. 2 males used these same ruffler foot. I never used one and I love it. I learned easily after right tutorial and I made my first easy ruffling plus attached to dress where I wanted the ruffle to go on. Love it, must try it, super easy, so glad I bought it. If bought elsewhere locally, they run much higher.

Singer Ruffler for low shank machine.
A very good quality pressure foot and very sturdy. To begin with, this was a difficult foot to work with. It was hard getting it on the machine and my needle kept hitting the plate. I had to do a lot of adjusting but finally got it to fit without bending my needle. With the help of the YouTube tutorial, I was able to work with it and, after many, many tires, my ruffles were really nice. I'm glad there was a link on the back of the package for the tutorial. I'm really loving this pressure foot, now.

Didn't last long
This is my second ruffler foot. The first one I bought was half the price of this one, but only lasted a couple of hours before it broke. I thought since is was a generic brand that I would order one made for Singer. Guess what, it looks exactly like the first one and lasted just about as long. And, yes, it was made in Hong Kong just like the first one. So don't pay twice as much as you should for yours. The idea of this gadget is great and cuts sewing time into a fraction of what it would be otherwise. But if they don't last, what's the point? My mother had one fifty years ago that went with her all metal parts Singer machine. Nothing at on that machine and/or attachments ever went wrong. Why don't they make things like they used to? Ah well, such is life.
