3M Littmann Classic III Monitoring Stethoscope, Black Edition Chestpiece, Black Tube, 27 Inch, 5803 + 40007 Stethoscope Identification Tag, Black

I'm going to be attending nursing school soon and needed a good, lightweight stethoscope that still offered great sound quality so I ordered a Littmann Classic III. I had done some research from the Littmann website, through other reviews from other websites, and from fellow nursing students and they all pointed towards getting a Littmann. I was so happy to get it in the mail that I immediately wanted to try it out on anyone including myself, my parents, and my dogs. I was so impressed with the raspberry color and the beautiful smoke-finish. I'd say it is a solid choice for any health care professional! Side note on photos: I also purchased a metal name tag which is the metal band that you see wrapped around the stethoscope. And I used flash to take the photos so the Littmann logo caught the flash in one of them.

As someone who works urgent animal rescue, deals with a lot of severe medical cases, and is applying to vet school, to say I am happy is an understatement. I've had the Littmann Classic III for a couple months now, and she's carried me through many a hard case. I'm incredibly impressed with the sound quality - both in picking up high and low frequencies, and in the quality of the tunable diaphragm. I had a very cheap stethoscope that was given to me a year or two ago as a "starter" one, and to hear the differences between the Littmann and that one is absolutely unreal. I was at first concerned that the single lumen tubing in comparison to the double would cause issue (I work with animals so that is a legitimate concern, if you have environmental noise (i.e., think animal EMT here) you gotta hear over it) but it hasn't caused me a single worry and I have been able to use this very effectively even in not so quiet environments. All in all, I'd give a 10/10 rating. I can't wait to upgrade to the Cardiology and compare!

It has a good feel, lightweight but not flimsy, head sits good in hand. The sound is very good and it fits nicely in my ears. The tubing could be longer as I'm quite tall and have to bend over while auscultating a sitting person. I love the colour! It's easy to clean after each use, which is important to my practice. Not cheap, but worth the money. Definitely recommended!

This stethescope is not only a good QUALITY stethescope (I have bought some in the past that I could barely hear my heartbeat through my chest, let alone anywhere else... The ear pieces were horribly uncomfortable.... ) in that it WORKS (as in it does what it is supposed to do... Once I got distracted doing something for school and I still had it in my ears and it was hanging down TOWARD the crack between my floor and my closed door, and I could literally hear the tv that was on TWO Rooms away...); but it is also (I am not sure how to put this ) is light weight, untangle-able , and always fits perfectly / comfortably... It cost more than the ones I have had, but only by about $10-$15 ..and I would have paid $100.00 more for one this good!

I am a veterinarian and like to keep multiple stethoscopes, one in the truck for our calls and a couple in the clinic. I have all Littmann Cardiologys, so this is my first classic. It’s nice and light weight, still has great sound but obviously the Cardio is superior. I purchased an Olive Green which is more of a grey. I’m still happy with it! I love my stethoscope. I went with Littmann due to the "general knowledge" I guess you could say, that they are good quality and I was not disappointed. I love the color options. It's cute, and I definitely hear a difference in the sound quality vs the cheapies. This allows me to hear better and get more accurate blood pressure readings. I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good quality, nice looking general stethoscope.

I just received the product, so I may have to update the review after some use... My first impressions are love/hate. I have never owned a stethoscope before, so I have nothing to compare to. The earpieces are comfortable up until about a minute of use, then they made my ears extremely sore. (Knocked a half-star off for that). The tubing seems really wonky - I don't think that's normal? (Knocked the other half-star off). I ordered the dark olive green and it's much darker than what I was expecting, but is still pretty. As far as I can tell, the sound quality is great. I tested it on my one year old and the noise canceling is decent, but not great.

it is worth every penny you spend. the sound is so much better and clearer. I was using the MDF brand which is suppose to be comparable and it is not worth the money, u can't hear anything and was super frustrating, so I decided to spend more and get this and I am so glad I did! love it... if you are going back and fourth about it just get it and you won't be disappointed. I got the smoked- finish with raspberry tubbing and its so pretty.

This stethoscope was gifted to my best friend, a prospective doctor (final year of medicine). She is absolutely elated and pleased with it. It's a beautiful piece of instrument made with outstanding material. Alternative earbuds for comfort come with it. Highly recommend it to all medical students and junior doctors!
