International Taxation, 3d (Concepts and Insights) 3rd Edition

I bought this for a project at work. I needed something that would have the basic information for me to do a quick over the weekend read in order to be ready for a conference call Monday morning. I wasn't disappointed. It was a concise and straightforward. I was able to understand the conversation and the important concepts relatively easily and in minimal​ time.

Great overview of international tax; it covers all dominant topics, though does not go in-depth.Excellently written, and is perhaps the most humorous legal text I've ever read. If all legal supplements were as humorously written as this one, then law school would be a less taxing ordeal.

This is the best US international tax primer I've seen. It's also the most entertaining tax book I've read. I use it regularly in practice, and used it daily when I took international tax courses in law school. I highly recommend it.

Pretty good for how short it is. Concise and powerful info. Perfect introduction/ outline of basic international tax issues. Finding the next treatise is the difficult part.

The book is well written, but it is very cursory. It does not fully explain many rules and was little use to me in my JD-level international tax class.I would definitely recommend the Nutshell book by Doernberg over this book. The Doernberg has an indexes by subject matter, IRC code sections, cases, revenue rulings and treasury regulations. This hornbook only has indexes by subject matter and cases. For a tax hornbook, having an index for IRC code sections is pretty key.

Isenbergh provides a solid overview of the federal tax system, namely, the in- and out-bound tax ramifications. The transfer pricing chapter is light. Professionals or students interested in learning more about transfer pricing are advised to buy a supplement.
