Vikings heed a good product.
I bought my wife and I each a Kinghtweave cloak and if you sling the cloak wrong over your shoulders it almost chokes you. I bought this to prevent that and it does the job with not problem. It is forged and sturdy; I like the rustic look which is why I bought this one. It may be cheap but the quality is not and worth every penny.

Cheap and gets the job done.
Looks good. Price is good. I did have to sand down the pin a little to make it fit through fabric better. I did it on the back side of the pin so you can't see it. I recommend people do the same. Also to try and polish the pin just a little, again, so it fits better.

Good size for thicker material, look well crafted
Just as described. Will know more after I have an opportunity to use them.

Nice forged clasp to add to any renaissance fair look!
I got this in a pinch right before a Viking Fest. And I have had it for years since then, as long as you keep it oiled it will hold up very well. It is seeming to be actually forged steel! It is very hard to bend, and it’s perfect to class, but any cloak together.

Perfect Size for Cloak (may be too large for leg wraps)
I was happy to see this item was exactly as described and was able to hold up my heavy wool cloak. Note the size of this item, it was exactly what I was looking for as a cloak pin, but those looking for a leg wrap pin may want something smaller. As others noted, there is oil on it upon arrival which needs to be wiped off. Just be mindful when opening.

Perfect for heavy woolen cloaks!
I have owned this pin for over a year now, and I'm actually about to order a second one. Not because there's anything wrong with the first, mind you, but because it's SO DAMN GOOD. I wear a woolen cloak through winter in a viking style, and this pin is the only one that didn't bend or break. It's heavy duty and HUGE. It can hold together not only my cloak, but my bear fur mantle I wear that I use as a scarf/hood. I've decided that I'd rather my bear mantle be a separate piece, so I'm ordering another one of these pins to hold it together. Be advised, though, this is not something that's tiny and decorative. The tongue is pretty thick and this WILL leave holes in your cloak. I recommend pinning your cloak and then leaving it be. When you take off the cloak, simply slip it over your head and leave it pinned. If you find it necessary to unpin your cloak to fold it up or use it with a pack frame as a backpack, just look for the holes when it's time to pin it back together and that should stop you from having a ton of holes all over your garment. It's large enough that it could almost be disassembled into an awl and a viking arm ring. Speaking of; it does make an excellent awl in the field. I suggest wiping it down before use as it's shipped having been oiled slightly to keep it from corroding in transit. I took a wire brush to mine as it still had a bit of scale on it from forging then let it patina naturally to the color I desired and from there I use mineral oil to coat it every few months (it's iron, it'll rust) after wiping it down thoroughly to remove any oils from my fingers.

Good in a PINch
Bought for use with a great kilt- Overall solid pin, very sturdy metal and looks hand made which is nice. The pin itself though needs to be thinner as it's damaging the cloth of my kilt every time I put it on. Had to file down the pin to be less square and narrower. Pros- Looks great Durable Cons- Will rust Chunky pin (fixable with some work)
