Simple to use, should last for many hours of use
Bought this to finish a small piece of quartz countertop being made from a scrap piece we had gotton from a counter top maker (they have lots of drop pieces, usually for free - cut with a diamond blade in a circular saw). Only used these disks wet, they did not seem to run well dry. Since a small job I drilled a small hole in the bottom of a bean can, filled with water and that gave a slow trickle right where needed keeping the working area wet. Disks worked as expected, had no issues with the hook & loop attachment of the disks - very secure, take care to center them. The final finish was not a mirror finish but was very nice and looked the same as the factory finish on the top surface. Buffing compound would have got me to the mirror finish if was desired, may be different with natural stone. Very happy with product and results.

Gets you 95% there for high-gloss marble repair - still need polishing powder!
We have a marble (travertine) vanity top that got etched badly by some toilet bowl cleaner. I tried some automotive compound at first, but while it did remove the etching it also made the natural veining look very bumpy and not smooth. The marble polishing kit on this page is definitely what is needed to fix a deep etch like we had (the proper way) and get it smooth. I used a DA orbital buffer on the lowest setting and spent a lot of time on each pad with no pressure on the buffer (just the weight of it) and moved the buffer VERY slowly across the surface. Do NOT move the buffer quickly, as that will give you swirls. Try to be like a machine. Do more passes on the final grits for better results - like 20 minutes per pad. This worked to smooth the surface out, BUT did NOT get it to the super high-gloss finish that we had before. It was dull and did not sharply reflect light like it did originally (even on 3,000 grit). You need another product for that: Tenax Marble Polishing Powder with a buffing pad. Doing that as the final step gives you the mirror-like finish seen in the final photo. So overall this kit was great, though we just needed that powder to finish the job.

it won't fit your angle grinder but they work great on a drill
I bought these polishing pads to recreate a bevel on the manufactured stone seat and threshold that I installed in my shower. I was under the impression that these would work using my angle grinder, but that wasn't the case the kit came with 50 to 3000 grit polishing pads as shown in the listing. it also came with two threaded rods and two Velcro pad mounting attachments with female threaded connections to connect the provided rods. I can't remember now if the listing said it or not, but I had thought it stated it could be used with the threaded stem on your angle grinder. there may be some angle grinders for which that is the case, but not for mine. the female end in the pad mounting attachment was much smaller diameter than that of my angle grinder and so I wasn't able to use these pads on my angle grinder. the included threaded rods, however, screwed into the pad mounting attachment and the rod was easily able to fit in the chuck of both my corded and cordless drills. I attached each pad to the mount as I worked my way through the various grits to get from removing material to polishing the bevel I had created using the coarser grout pads. after attaching each pad to the mount, I dipped the polishing surface of each pad in a bucket of water and then commenced polishing. if the surface looked like it was getting dry I would rewet the pad and keep going. you don't feel like you're taking off much material on the coarser grit pads from 50-150, but you definitely are, so just be careful as you go. once you get above 300 grout you're not taking off much of anything and above 1000 you're just strictly polishing. they worked great and I've kept them to use on fire projects. I didn't need them for much so there's still loads of polishing surface yet to use so I can't speak to how much polishing you will get out of a set. all I can say is they worked great for what I needed them and when I was I couldn't tell the difference between the factory bevel and polish from what I'd done myself. well worth the money just don't count on using your angle grinder to do the work. you'll need to play around with how you hold your drill relative to the surface of whatever you're polishing because if you hold it wrong the pads will move around on you a lot. once you get a hang of that, the rest is easy and you'll get great results. I hope that helps!

Ease of Use
We had a lot of etching in our marble counter top. I don't believe the marble was ever sealed properly. We were considering replacing it. We came across a video using these disks to remove etchings and polish the marble like new. The disks worked beautifully and removed the etchings. It took a little arm muscle and time, but was well worth it. Certainly saved us a lot of money by not having to call a professional in to sand and polish the marble. We would definitely use these disks again.

Low quality diamond grit scratches
I bought these to resurface deep scratches in my windshield. The diamont grit is poor quality and scratches from lower grit can not be removed with next higher grit discs.

It works!
I had a scrap of granite from our kitchen sink cut out. I used my angle grinder to cut the circular drill holes off the sides. I started polishing the long edge which was the only side which would be exposed. I laid a garden hose on the slab and trickled water across the face to lubricate the grinding pads.I chucked the pad holder into my 1/2” drill. Starting with 50 grit, I worked my way through every pad . I rolled the sander over the front lip with every pad change. I am very pleased with the results!

Great set of discs for polishing granite
The variety of grits included in this set allows you to go from a very dull surface to a mirror-like glaze on granite. And having 2 backer pads allows you to set up two tools at the same time, useful when you want to polish at different speeds depending on the grit. The only thing to keep in mind, if you want to use them on an angular grinder, the connection is 3/8", so you will need an adapter if your grinder uses 5/8" attachments. Overall, a great product for its value.

Excellent! These work extremely well. I polished up about 3m of 30mm granite worktop edge with about 20% wear on disc edge of 50 grit disc. I think I was a little heavy handed on disc edge as wear on middle of disc was minimal. Two pads meant I could mount in two tools. Excellent delivery and very small box, so very little packaging. Well done.

Would definitely buy again, I initially thought they were useless but I think you need to bed them in.
