Makes my axolotls (and me) happy...great for tank health!
I’ve got two axolotls and decided to give these Indian almond leaves a try after hearing people rave about their benefits...I’m pretty happy with them so far!! The pack came with plenty of leaves and they were all a good size (not dried out or broken up) I just toss a leaf or two in whenever I do a water change. It gives the tank water this natural tint and honestly, my axolotls seem way more chill since I started using them. Less stress, their gills and slime coats look super healthy and the water quality stays nice between changes. If you’re into natural setups or want to give your aquatic pets a boost I totally recommend these. Only thing (important thing) to note...expect your water to get that “tinted” look (not gross at all, just that classic tannin effect) and the leaves break down after a while, which is normal! Just swap them out as needed. All in all, great price and it actually does what it says!

100% Excellent Quality. As described.
Almond leaves arrived perfectly packaged. Excellent quality. I soft boiled a leaf for 10 minutes and let it cool down. The leaves are large and my fish love the hiding space underneath. Almond leaves are anti bacterial and naturally beneficial without having to use a lot of chemicals in the tank.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT, BUT I DISAGREE WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED
Leaves were delivered intact in good condition and were about 7 to 7.5 inches long. The instructions recommend three leaves per 12 gallons (5 leaves if you boil them first) to be replaced weekly. I found that one leaf in a ten-gallon tank is more than enough to give the water the classic tea color, and I would be concerned that more than that could screw up the chemistry of the tank. I also believe that replacing the leaves weekly before they can form a nice layer of biofilm on them is counter-productive. I rinse the leaf without boiling and let it float on the surface of the tank. That will be enough to release the tannins and to color the water. It will sink in a day or so, and then nothing visible further happens for a couple of weeks other than providing a hiding place for small critters like cherry shrimp. Once the leaf starts to break down, snails, shrimp, baby shrimp, and some fish then start eagerly feasting on the biofilm and infusoria produced on it. After a leaf is well on its way to skeletonization, I add another to the tank so that there is always at least one coated with biofilm at any given time. Do the leaves act as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent as often claimed? I don't know, but have no evidence that they don't. I do know that they provide a natural-looking hiding area for livestock in the tank and that a bunch of guys like to chomp on them once they have been in there awhile. The tank also looks more natural with the tinted water.

Good buy
I wasn't sure what to expect with these but they are just as they are pictured. Nice big leaves that aren't too brittle and break easily.

Helped my axolotl so much
I did a lot of research on these before I tried them and I will say the health benefits they provided my little guy were amazing. He loved to sleep on them and hide under them. They are easy to set up just rinse and put them in the tank. They hold up well took a month till I added a couple more. There is no smell and it didn’t really change the coloring in my tank.

Turned my tank into tea!
No matter how long you boil them, they will discolor your tank water.

Good quality
You can use these leaves for turtles fish and axolotls. Just remember to take them out when they get really brown and mushy. One leaf depending on tank heat can last about a week. Good for ph reduced and slime coat just don't use too many leaves at one time. I ether tie them down or let them float fish like to hide under them.
