Complete mess
I have never written a review where I wished I could give the item no stars. This rack is worth about $9.99, not the over $100 I paid! Seriously, I have seen better quality products at Walmart. First, it is not "solid steel" construction. It is partially some metal (which easily dents and bends - probably aluminum) and the connectors and decorative knobs are PLASTIC! Second, the instructions are difficult and skip steps. I am extremely capable at putting items together, and have built whole bookcases from raw wood, so I knew what I was doing and I was at least able to figure out what they wanted me to do. That did not even frustrate me much because I could figure it out and, even though the materials were clearly shoddy, I was hopeful that the stand would not look too cheap when completed because it was the look I wanted for the bathroom. But, the last step required me to use four screws that were supposed to be all the same size but were actually each a little different length. This is important because those screws attach the base and the top to the sides and if they are different sizes, you cannot get a tight, ninety degree attachment and therefore, the stand wobbles. Third, the screws did not even fit correctly into the top because the holes were not drilled correctly. But we got the screws in. This is the incredible part -- it says as the last step to push the top onto the screws. You cannot push a threaded metal top hole onto a screw and get a tight fit -- you have to screw it. But you cannot, because at that point, the rest of the stand is assembled and it is physically impossible to screw 2 screws separately into two vertical poles at the same time. So you have to push the top on and as a result you have a wobbly, cheap, partially plastic mess. After spending an hour putting it together only to get that mess, I took 3 minutes to take it apart and put it into the box to send back. That's right. I put it together correctly according to their directions and it only took three minutes to disassemble. I would bet that it would have fallen apart in my bathroom within a week. I repeat -- cheap mess. Also, the seller was supposed to be "Connect Buy" but the box label said Overstock. The box had been opened and retaped, as had its contents. That should have told me that I had an item someone had previously returned. Unfortunately, that person did not post a review. Had anyone posted an honest review, I never would have wasted my time and money on this piece of crap. I warn you -- do not buy this item.

Terrible instructions for what looks like a smile assembly
Terrible instructions for what looks like a smile assembly! Nice looking but a real effort to put together and if wrong fasteners are put in wrong spot the unit is easy too flexible and must be taken apart.

Too short to be practical
We probably failed to read the description carefully enough, but the rack is only about 30 inches tall. That is too short for a regular towel, unless you put the rack on a stand of some kind. We plan to return it.

Nice product
The price is too high for the product. It is nice and easy to put together. The round caps at the ends are plastic.

Good Value, Quality & Performance
I was very pleased with what was delivered. Good quality materials. A surprisingly accurate pictograph to guide you in assembly, and a very good way of packaging the fasteners. Assembly was straight forward, and the final result is impressive. A good find and a good buy.

Nothing Good Can Be Said
Following the instructions didn't produce a stable towel stand. Calling tech support and spending 3 days with them didn't result in anything better. Essentially, the instructions require the top of the towel rack be firmly pressed down onto the two vertical bars that have threaded screws. There is no way to screw the top to these bars. How one is suppose to firmly press threaded screws into threaded holes defies imagination. Since the screws are less than 1/4 inches in length, stability becomes highly questionable even if you did as instructed. I would rate this product a "0" if that were available. Thank goodness for Amazon return policy. My advice: don't even look at it; don't even think about it; and, absolutely don't buy it.
