Game changer for me
This is a great product. Being able to steam things in the microwave has been a game changer for me. I steam potatoes all the time. The capacity is good—I have steamed four Yukon Gold potatoes at once, and it can probably hold almost twice that amount. It’s quicker and easier than steaming food in a pot on the stove and is easier to clean. It works great except it can be a little tricky to snap it shut. The trick is to push down on the red flap as you snap it closed. It feels reasonably well made (it is plastic) and I hope it is durable. I’m concerned about the locking flaps breaking off eventually but I’ve been using it for a few weeks now with no problems. Even so, I think it would work fine without the locking flaps. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Perfect Rice for 1–2 People | Easy, Reliable, and Simple to Clean
I sold my Instant Pot because the only thing I ever used it for was rice, and it never made rice the way I wanted. After saving this Sistema Microwave Rice Cooker for a while, I finally bought it, and I’m so glad I did. This inexpensive little cooker makes better rice than my Instant Pot ever did. I made basmati rice and it turned out perfectly cooked, fluffy, and not mushy. Based on my experience, this cooker is ideal for one to two people. Overfilling it is likely what causes the spillover issues mentioned in some reviews. Here’s the method that worked great for me and I think will give you a good starting point: I rinsed 1/2 cup of basmati rice, added it to the cooker with 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon of water, a dash of salt, and a small amount of olive oil. I placed the lid on, making sure the steam vents were not aligned, microwaved for 7 minutes in a 900-watt microwave, let it rest for 5 minutes, then microwaved for another 3 minutes and let it sit again for 5 minutes. The result was perfect rice. Cleaning was a breeze. The product says it’s dishwasher safe on the top rack, but I hand washed it and it cleaned up very easily. The smaller container that comes with this set is also very useful. I stored my leftover rice in it in the fridge and reheated it later with great results. It seals well and works perfectly for storage, making it a nice bonus alongside the rice cooker, which is definitely the star of the set. Overall, this has been one of my best small kitchen purchases and I’m very happy with it.

Great Product – Exactly What I Needed!
I was a little skeptical at first, but this item turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. It arrived on time and in good condition. The quality is solid, and it works just as described. Setup was straightforward, and I’ve had no issues so far. Definitely worth the price. I would recommend this to anyone considering it!

Nice containers!
These are nice containers for lunches or fridge storage...whatever! Vented top so no overdressed when heating in the micro. Good quality plastic. No issues.

Super Convenient—Perfect Rice Every Time
This set is incredibly convenient and easy to use. The microwave rice cooker makes fluffy rice with very little effort—just add rice, water, and microwave. It cooks evenly and much faster than a traditional pot. The lids with steam-release vents work well and help prevent spills. The additional round food container is great for reheating leftovers or storing meals. Both pieces are BPA-free, sturdy, and easy to clean. The handles stay cool enough to remove from the microwave without needing extra tools. Overall, this is a super practical set for quick meals, meal prep, and everyday cooking.

Meet My New Lunch Box!
I bought two of these from Amazon and they've replaced my lunch box I used to carry around. I've been trying to simplify what I carry to work and this has been what I have been searching for. Here's why I like it so much -- it has so many uses: 1. It's big enough to hold smaller containers of food, so if you like to assemble your food before heating, it's roomy enough 2. When I don't want to do a hot lunch, it doubles as a regular sandwich/chips/snack/drink lunch box (it's sturdy) 3. I still have the option of steaming items I've never had a problem packing wet foods (the seal seems pretty solid if you line it up correctly) and I usually will hydrate my ramen with cold water before I get to work and then heat it up when it's lunch time. It's large enough for a "big" lunch for one person with room for snacks. The nice thing about it if you are using this as a food carrier like I am, that there's more surface area for the food to heat, so I am not waiting for ever to heat something up in the microwave. I've dropped it few times on the cement floor at work, and it's none worse for wear and nothing has broken. The engineers at Sistema have really put a lot of effort into designing this product and it shows. I might not use it as a steamer all of the time, but now that I am moving to a more minimalist lifestyle, I like the fact this container is multipurpose. Nice but has a flaw
Although these are study and pretty, my teen son complains that the top comes off too easily in his bookbag. I also took leftovers to work in one and sure enough, the flaps are not very secure. Easy to flip up and then the whole top comes off. This may be ok for at home use but not for taking food outside the house.
