Q: What does it mean by rotating head?

Like most clippers, one arm lifts and rotates into clipping position and then rotates and folds back for storage.

Q: Where are these manufactured?

The package says made in China. There is not any stamp or etching on the clippers.

Q: Are these usable by lefties also?

There's no difference on these. When you open them the loops are straight up and down. My husband is left-handed and he absolutely loves them!

Q: Specs say scissor grip openings are only about1/2 inch?!?? That can't be correct, is it? They loops should be 1 inch + to fit a thumb.

They are not a perfect circle. The approximate max size for each dimension is ⅞" x 1." They also vary slightly. larger one is almost 1x1." I have a small hand for a man (ring finger size of 8 ½), and each loop fits over the first knuckle of my thumb comfortably. I imaging these can bent bent with pliars to fit larger fingers.
