Great company , solid curl bar
So the bar is awesome and it has a great grip and feel. The connection is sturdy and I would highly recommend if you use exercise bands or pull up assist assist bands. I compliment them with climber carabiners. For home training or clients it really is efffective and almost gym like. But the real reason besides Bodylastics products being way better than knock offs is the customer service. I managed to dislodge the saftey chain on the inside of the bar. It's not necessary and doesn't make the bar unusable or really unsafe, but it keeps the 2 sections together after disassembly. I contact the customer service to send it out to have it reattached. Instead of making it difficult or asking for pictures the next day they email me that they have sent out a complete replacement for free. This company is really a cut above and if you're tired of fake reviews and cheap products that don't look like the picture or do what they say in the description go all in on Bodylastics. I've used they're blue grips for years without an issue, and I'm sure the chain was a user error rather than defect but either way this company stands behind their products so you really get what you paid for. It won't bend it's totally solid. Weighs 6lbs but nicely distributed and the grip is really comfortable. Multiple angles, can use for lots of movements and the 3 attachment points allow for various exercises with resistance coming from different angles. It's such a no brainer if you like bands.

Works Better Than Advertised
I already bought other Bodylastics products, and their line appears well thought out and well made. So, I looked to expand my workout options of band resistance exercises with their curl bar. I am happy to report that the purchase was one of the better ones I made this year. The bar is very adaptive, sturdy, and controllable, because of the solid metal interlocking design and grippy rubber material it is made from. I do not need to wear any gloves to use it, nor do I want to. Needless to say, now that I have mine (usually sold out) I highly recommend this product. Hopefully, they might consider making other types of pull down bars from the same materials? If so, I'd buy them too. JUST SAYING...

INCREDIBLE product, great addition to my Bodylastics Bands
Exactly what I was missing from my Bodylastics bands set! Super comfortable, very versatile and has a great feel while being used. The bar is also strong and has just enough weight to feel great while using it. Great for curls (hence the name) but also great for band chest-presses (i.e. benchpress) and it's also quite comfortable across the shoulders on my back when using it for squats. Overall, amazing product, great price (seriously) and incredible quality. I love this company, the products are top-notch and Blake seems like a great guy all around -- happy customer here :-)

A must have
Great design and versatility built into a well made piece of home gym equipment. I own two other resistance band bar attachments and this Bodylastics one just may take over as my go to. The versatility and design is great. This bar is not just made for doing bicep curls. You can get a great lat contraction doing pull downs and use it for other upper and lower body exercises. The bar twists off at the midway point and you can easily store it in the travel bag it comes with if you choose to take it with you on a trip. Additionally, the bar does have some weight to it and I noticed that while doing chest press using a door anchor the outer clips seemed to give the resistance an even load, while the neutral grip of the angled bar activated the chest. This is a must have piece for resistance band users.

Sturdy bar with 3 attachment points
This is a very sturdy bar that collapses into 2 parts. Combined it is 45 inches long. When taken apart, the longest one is 25 inches. It goes together in seconds. I really like the 3rd attachment point in the center of the bar. This one really makes it useful. An un-stretched Bodylastics band is about 54 inches long. When connected to the ends there is only 9 inches of slack. You need to really overstretch the band to get a full range of motion. Connected to the center point you now have about 25 inches of slack after stepping on the band or putting it through an anchor. In order to use the ends, I think you need 2 sets of bands so you can use identical ones on each end going to anchor points. The other issue I have is that almost the entire bar is wavy. There is no true supinated or pronated hand position option like you would find on a normal weight bar that comes naturally. Your hands are almost always turned into a half neutral grip. There are two ways to do a supinated or pronated grip. The first is to hold the bar in a tilted position, which does not give you a good feeling grip on the bar. The second is to grip the bar in the very center, the only place it is straight. This leaves my hands too close together for a good exercise. I wish the bar had a longer straight section (about 3 inches on each side) in the middle and one less curve on the ends. Bottom line, this is a very sturdy bar, collapses for storage and travel, and seems to be very well made. A few minor changes and I would give it 5 stars.

Outstanding quality, ingenious design
Seriously, I was about to fabricate a bar for myself because the available options were either expensive, lame, or both. Then this magically appeared in my browser! (I guess there's some upside to Amazon knowing more about me than I do.) Solid and massive (5.5 lb). They didn't overstate the quality of the grips! Both the angles and the grip material are really really nice. Eyelets pivot well; hopefully they will not wear out anytime soon. The joint is very solid and easy to use if you are breaking it down for travel (although at 5.5 lb. it's hitting the airline scale pretty hard; I'm leaving mine in my studio). Nice to have an eyelet in the middle; you can use another band to modify the resistance curve. Hard to imagine this being any better. If you are looking for a bar for your resistance band setup, this is it! Worth every penny, unlike the other broomsticks out there. Simply Awesome!

The bar is of very high quality material and will take the toughest beating. The way the bar curls is very similar to the ones you would find in a gym, hence, are very useful for certain exercises like bicep curls and tricep extension exercises. Not so convenient if you want to emulate exercises like a heavy loaded bench press because the grip would not be as comfortable as a straight bar. But still usable for a lighter load press. The rotating rings at the ends and centre are very well positioned and usable. Another thing is the weight and diameter of the bar may not be comfortable unless you are a large woman/man. It is quite heavy to manoeuvre easily e.g. when changing/adding bands when the bar is hanging from a door mount. The large grip required may also be a hindrance to people with smaller hands as it may make it harder to keep to form. All this would not be an issue for a bigger person. Overall, very happy with the purchase but need to be realistic with some minor limitations.

I was really excited to finally receive my Bodylastics curl bar after the covid delays down here in Australia. The variety of hand positions available and the grips are awesome. Great job on getting this all right. Now onto the not so awesome. The joint on the bar I received feels less than rock solid. The joint is an internal guided sleeve configuration with a screw over plastic cover holding the pieces together. That is there is a small nub inside one bar to align the other side of the bar which has a post with a cut out guide. The nub which aligns with the alignment slot in the other bar I received may be a tad too small causing a little rotational movement in hand. The bigger issue I saw in the joint of the bar I received was that the two outer meeting points of the respective ends were not square meaning that there was a gap between the two touch points of the separate bar ends at certain spots. This then under load felt like the two ends of the bar were trying to seat as I moved through various angles in exercises like curls. So this felt less than solid in hand and disconcerting. Feeling that this bar was probably not up to their standards,I reached out directly to the Bodylastics support team with an image of the internals of the joint showing that the connecting points were not square and explained what I was experiencing. The initial response from their support team was that it was "it does not appear to be an authentic Bodylastics bar". This response shocked me a bit, but hey maybe the support rep did not know what the internal joint looked like in this product. I followed up with an email containing an image of the whole bar and the packaging asking if this bar was faulty and if i received another it would be different. I got a curt response that "YES" it was a Bodylastics bar and nothing else. Given every Bodylastics marketing piece in relation to this product talks to the time and effort getting this bar right, I'd hoped that if an issue like this was called out that they may be interested and give me some guidance on the best way to proceed. I was wrong. I may have just received a bad bar and I could send it back and roll the dice again. However being on the other side of the world and the support experience has me questioning if this is worthwhile. I really loved everything else about the bar, I really do to the point of I'm considering keeping it and having it welded into one bar. Concept awesome, execution so so, support questionable.
