Best adhesive so far! Better than skin prep wipes
Great product! Highly recommend! I have a medication that is in the form of a week long medicated patch and the adhesive on it is very weak and doesn’t stick well. This stuff takes care of it right away. A little product goes a long way and works way better than skin prep wipes or other adhesives. It stays on through a week’s worth of showers with ease. In the case that a corner or edges start to lift up, no problem, just apply a little more and you’re good to go. It dries quickly, easy to take off and doesn’t hurt your skin when removing. All around a great product and will be my go-to for the foreseeable future.

Spray cap would be good for large application. Cotton Swab, using minimal amount works well for adhesive wound covers and making band-aids stick well when the edges/ends come up. Good Product. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly and let dry for 15 seconds to get best adhesion. Would recommend. Would buy again.

Love it
I love this product. I learned about it when i worked in a hospital where they used it often. I did not notice any leakage. It has always worked well for me.

use this on my Libre sensors and it is fabulous!!! I always use this with each new application!!! it does leave a residue, but it easily comes off with an oil based makeup remover!! highly recommend!

The strongest adhesive I've tried
I use adhesive for a few things to make them stick on my skin longer. I was using Skin Tac, which worked but when I changed the location of my CGM sensor, I needed something stronger. The CGM company suggested Mastisol. I purchased the small bottle to try. It worked very well and retained the overpatches longer. However using this product from this tiny bottle is tricky. It's a hard plastic bottle with a strange tip. (see photo) I wasn't sure how to apply it. First I used a cotton swab, turning the bottle upside down and trying to squeeze out a drop. I managed to get some on the swab & applying it. (It wasn't easy) Then I tried rubbing the bottle top against my skin. A little awkward but it worked. I like the adhesion but hate the bottle. I might try the other containers, I'm not sure but if I purchased this bottle, I'd try to remove the top.

Best I've Used for CGM and Insulin Pump
Insulin pump infusion sets and CGM sensors are expensive, and insurance pays for only so many per month. Losing one feels devastating. I've tried IV prep pads, which are not quite strong enough and don't always last the 10 days that a Dexcom CGM sensor should stay in place. I also tried Skin Tac, which works as well as Mastisol. The Skin Tac wipes worked okay, but using a wipe worked best when applied to the skin, which caused a sticky, lint-attracking, clothing-sticking mess on my skin. The Skin Tac, though, after a few uses, cannot be opened because the lid glues itself into place. Mastisol works as well as Skin Tac and has a lid that can be screwed off every time. I also like the small size that makes travel easy. The only things I don't like about Mastisol are the cost and the fact that there is no application swab like Skin Tac has. I always have to make sure I have cotton swabs ready - and to make sure I don't lay the swabs directly onto any surface after I dipped them into the Mastisol.

Used for ileostomy appliance (wafer) giving me confidence and piece of mind
Love this product! I have a new ileostomy and after multiple surgeries, I have many scars, dips and valleys in my abdomen making it very hard to get a good seal between my skin and appliance (wafer). I put this on after using the skin protectant. If I want I can get 7+ days before needing to change my appliance. A former OR nurse told me it was/is used to close wounds after surgery. When it is time to change the appliance it is easy to remove with adhesive remover wipes with no residue. It definitely gives me a worry free application giving me piece of mind and confidence to go in public leak free.

A Strong Adhesive, but a Frustrating Bottle
As someone who uses adhesives to keep medical devices secure on my skin, I was excited to try Mastisol. I had been using Skin Tac, but when I switched to a new CGM sensor, I needed something stronger. The CGM company recommended Mastisol, so I gave it a shot. And I'm glad I did - it works wonderfully, keeping my overpatches in place for longer periods. However, the tiny bottle it comes in is a nightmare. The hard plastic and awkward tip make it a challenge to apply the product. I've tried using a cotton swab, squeezing the bottle upside down, and even rubbing the tip against my skin - all with varying degrees of success. It's a bit of a trial-and-error process, and I'm not thrilled about it. If I'm honest, I'd probably try to remove the top if I purchased this bottle again, just to make it more manageable. Despite the struggles, I appreciate the strong adhesion, and I'll likely continue using Mastisol. But I wish they'd reconsider the packaging!
