I've always been skeptical about the quality of these LCD mirrors, until I saw their product display at CES 2020. I talked to their rep, was really impressed at the product quality and immediately placed an order on my phone on the spot. The price was right, with the $10 discount coupon. I'm quite handy with automotive accessories installation, so the effort needed for a neat installation was no surprise to me. The bulk of your time installing will be spent on running the wires. What I was surprised was this mirror uses selective zoom to display parts of the camera view for both front and rear. So the "regular rearview" mode can be set higher than the "parking rearview" mode (when Reverse gear is selected). Also, the front camera viewing angle can also be set both by manually turning the camera lens, as well as digitally on the mirror once the manual limits have been reached.Overall, I'm pretty impressed by the picture quality, built quality and the ability for me to add rearview camera on my older model car.Although not offered by the original manufacturer, I will add this motion sensing unit to the mirror to allow the dashcam to operate in "Sentry mode" while the engine is off. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J3BLFBN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1What can be improved:1. In "reverse gear mode", the view is a little too narrow, would be nice for the mirror to "unzoom" to see a much wider view.2. The image display comes on by default at power on. Would be nice if there's a setting for it NOT to come on, and ONLY come on when Reverse gear is selected.3. Since the mirror itself is an LCD display, it would be nice if it could also function as an "auto-dim" manual mirror by darkening the entire surface when it detects headlights shining from the back.4. If you drive a convertible on a bright day with the top down, the display is VERY hard to view. Guess there's really no solution to this.5. Since the mirror is already a nice monitor, if they add a HDMI input or something that allows your phone to cast videos to it while the vehicle is parked, it would be so much more useful than "just a mirror".

My first impression was wow great Resolution at night the live video is more bright and clear then looking out my car front windshield it’s crisp clear granted I have only used it at night as I just received it late this afternoon of writing this review that being said my last dash cam was ok during the day with some issues with the Bright sun but at night is where it fell short oncoming headlights would wipe out any image of oncoming cars just a blur as they passed but This ThiEYE excelled at night which is why I tried it first at night to me the most dangerous time to drive so to sum up my experience with ThiEYE WOW WHAT A DASH CAM FOR THE PRICE AND QUALITY AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND SETUP (FIVE STARS) ARE NOT Enough.update I have had it 4 days and I have it full installed and can’t believe how the camera looks front and back I put the rear camera just inside the back window of my Honda Pilot the camera adjusts to tilt up and down so it’s easy to get a great fit and the field of view is amazing I tell you there is no down sides to this dash cam none.

The front camera is adjustable from left to right, mine was stuck a little bit and didn't dare to force it at first.only had it for a little while, when using it at night, the headlights do glare in the camera and is a grainy picture.I love the wide angle for both front and rear view, I have a hatchback so it will cover if someone clips me from behind.The view with wide angles is they appear to be further away then they really are. for the price it is worth it. I would purchase the next model up with the higher resolution now that I know the quality of view that this one has at night.

Great camera, I like that it has a reverse camera. Mine has malfunctioned and is permanently on back up camera, though the back up trigger witr isn't hooked to anything. Can't use touch screen in back up.mode. camera collects water drops above my license plate, gotta wipe it every so often. Make sure u use electrical tape on the plug, I think it has oil or water in it. Might be why it is permanent back up mode. Wish you could disable. Good wide angle though.

Im impressed with the quality of the video of this camera! I have not install it yet but im really exited about it!There are couple things I like and couple things I dont like about it right away.Likes:- Quality of video. It's great. Rear view camera has a wide angle but doesn't distort the image as i was expecting it to do.-All you need is in the package (charging cable, memory card, card reader) - I dont need to buy anything else-Price - I think it's really reasonable.-Very responsive touch screen.- Easy to use"Dont likes" :- Would be nice if it somehow automatically switch cameras to rear when I switch to reverse. I have to touch the screen to switch it. So most likely I will not use the rear view option as much as I wanted.- Cables. Im having a hard time hiding the cables. Which I dont mind I guess.Overall first impression - it's a good product. Will update after installation.

I saw this product reviewed on youtube and decided to buy it. The installation was easy, the wires are long enough, the cameras & display are high quality. You can toggle between cameras, and, each cam has 4 verticle angles, by swiping a finger on the screen, left/right or up/down, without having to go into settings.My usage for this product is unique, I install the backup camera on my minivan's roof on the rail, this allows me to see ahead pass the vehicle infront of me, including most suvs and trucks. Now I've the commanding view to several vehicles ahead, which can be useful and fun.
