Works much better than I anticipated! Perfect for keeping puzzles (mostly) in place. I have found that sometimes a couple of pieces come undone, but this could be rolling technique. However, the pieces overall are kept in alignment, so the pieces are where they need to be, I just have to slot them back together. I found the hand pump OK but a bit of effort and instead use the electric pump that we have for blow up beds.

A brilliant jigsaw roll. The black felt is good quality and the inflatable tube works perfectly and stays inflated. The supplied mini air pump can be kept to one side and used for a multitude of other purposes, such as artificially inseminating your pet dog, or sucking the poison out of a snake bite. The two Velcro elasticated straps fit snugly and securely and the attractive carrying bag is useful for hiding the roll when it’s placed in the corner of the room, so that when visitors arrive you can pretend the bag contains something far less embarrassing and/or far more dangerous. I’ve knocked off one star because when my Auntie Betty took delivery of the parcel, she accidentally placed it next to our dustbin and forgot all about it. It was only by chance that I spotted the box later that afternoon and rescued it from being pulverised the next morning in the back of a domestic waste collecting truck.

Having always used boards before for my puzzles I was sceptical. My jigsaw, although 1000 pieces, would not fit my usual 1000 piece board as oddly the size of the puzzle is much too big - it's an eeBoo jigsaw, beautifully made and vibrant colours but buyers beware as it won't fit a normal 1000 piece board! As I couldn't find a board big enough online I decided to try this roll and I am very pleased. The felt is quite thin but when ironed it is totally smooth and it rolls up so easily using the inflatable tube supplied. It can then be stored in the drawstring bag provided.

Mat worked great - nice that it was thin and the inflatable bolster works perfectly. If you’re relying on the hand pump so you don’t have to inflate orally though, it’s really cheap and rubbish. While I was pumping it, pieces kept falling comically off it. The nozzle, the metal screw thread, the rubber ring inside it, the black “funnel” piece from deep inside the pump. Eventually it just disintegrated completely like a Buster Keaton movie punchline prop and even after putting it back together it could not stay together. Well, the rest of the mat works fine. The pump is just unnecessary plastic waste.

Very good for jigsaw lovers. Rolls very easy and the straps keeps the jigsaw in place. All in all good storage to put away until you are ready to get it out again. Would definitely recommend.
