DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: Greece Athens & the Mainland Paperback – Folded Map, May 20, 2013

I took this everywhere with me on my Greece trip earlier this year and it came in handy with good info, without falling apart! Glad I bought it!

Helpful, easy to read, good insight to compare to websites of the various attractions. Timely information as I bought it for a trip to Greece in June 2019.

The small print in the book would be okay if it were black. It's not!

I purchased this book in preparation for a two-week vacation to Greece. Normally, I shun the picture-laden guides and go with the dense, text heavy ones, like Lonely Planet; however, I was surprised at the amount of help that DK Eyewitness’s Travel Guide for Greece Athens & the Mainland provided. The pull-out map of Athens was a lifesaver during our navigation of an unfamiliar city in a country that uses a non-Latin alphabet (my girlfriend and I are both native English speakers).Despite my prejudices, DK Eyewitness did a great job of providing information about Athens in particular and traveling in Greece in general. The photography was excellent and helped us to narrow down our must-see attractions. We did additional research online to complement the information in the book, but the Eyewitness Travel Guide did a great job of giving us a launching point for our trip-planning.I also purchased DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: The Greek Islands for that leg of the trip; my review of that book will be on its product page.

Book in perfect condition. No issues at all. REALLY like the brand- great, concise descriptions so its priceless while your there, and on the fly
