I am using this foam stripping for my return air filters. The filters are just slightly under sized and tend to slip out of the ceiling register causing an annoying bang when the furnace turns on and off. It also helps seal the edges better so all the air goes through the filters. It is easy to apply and has excellent glue backing to stick well.

Good quality insulation foam with good adhesive. I bought this for a little project that I was working on and it worked really well. It was the size that I needed, it was easy to use, and provided good insulation. It also provided a good seal where a pipe went through my block foundation.

This product performed as hoped. The only problem was trying to peel the backing off the roll. Sometimes, it pulled the adhesive with it. I had to resort to using a knife to find a good edge and peel the backing from the adhesive.

Item is as advertised. Backing peeled off nicely. And the seal sticks really well.

This seems like I finally found a product to hold up in this Arizona summer heat!!! I like that it’s squishy, so it really fits different parts well (because it’s not exactly a straight line) I did a trial piece, and when I peeled it off the foam removed, tearing away from the sticky. The adhesive and tiny bits of the black foam are left over, so DO NOT EVER put it on a surface where you will need to remove it, unless you plan on throwing the item away/having a sticky dark residue. I absolutely love that feature, though, because it shows me it won’t just slip off and reduce in stickiness!!!!!

I used this foam tape to insulate behind a thermostat when I replaced a non-programmable thermostat with a Nest. I had a somewhat large 2” diameter hole behind the old thermostat when I removed it (I had to offset Nest since I didn’t want to patch drywall and then install). This foam was able to cover up the hole with no issues and the adhesive is strong. I’d definitely recommend insulating behind your thermostat since it will read the wall cavity temp as opposed to the room temp (my thermostat is installed in the living room and we have a zoned system). In my case, I had a draft inside my wall cavity and this foam will definitely help prevent inaccurate temps (between cavity and room). With the adhesive being so strong you’ll need to use a box cutter/razor blade/knife to remove the paper backing by grabbing a corner (of the paper) with your blade to separate. Easy to use and install.
