When I first unpacked this, I actually laughed — it looked tiny. It says 16 inches, but that’s the outer measurement; the inside is about 12 inches. Still, I stuck with it because I’ve had K&H products before, and they last forever if you treat them right. Turns out, the size works perfectly for what it’s meant for. This is a heated bed, and when cats are cold, they curl up tight anyway. The heat covers the whole base nicely, and there’s a layer of foam that gives it just enough cushion without making it bulky. If I could change one thing, I’d make the bolster a little taller. It’s more of a casual, low-profile bed than a deep nest. But honestly, that’s also what makes it easy to move, wash, and dry — which I appreciate because washing big beds is an all-day project. Overall, it’s cozy, simple, and surprisingly practical. My cat clearly approves.

Cooper sleeps SO HARD in this heated bed. He loves it! Unfortunately I am chopped liver now, as he spends the night in this rather than in my bed. It works just like they state, having something against it generates the warmth. It seems well made and this is a brand I trust (I'm pretty picky about electrical items).

Wow, my cat jumped right into the bed the minute that I took off the plastic! He usually takes a long time to try out new beds. Marshmellow is 17 years old, he loves and needs the extra warmth, he’s always in the bed now! Seems durable and comfortable. My only complaint is that I had thought it was made in the USA, since it’s a K&H product, but it was made in China like everything else.

I bought many cat beds over the years and neither of my 2 cats will use them. I have a 14 year old girl that spends the majority of her time on a heating pad from this brand that I would lay a soft blanket over. We didn't really need a new cat bed, but this one just looked soft and comfortable that I had to try it. To my surprise, she immediately got into this bed when she realized that it heated up! I do cover it with a throw blanket just to help keep it clean as I can toss the blanket in the laundry when needed. It is 'motion activated' meaning it heats up once the cat gets on it which I like so I leave it plugged in all the time. My 3 year old cat also loves it and lucky for him she will sometimes share. For reference, only 1 cat really fits in the bed and my felines are approx 7-10 lbs shorthairs. We have been using this been non stop for a couple of months now and it still heats up well and works just fine. Very much worth the purchase!

My sweet 21 year old boy has arthritis and with the temperatures dropping he started meowing at me more frequently and trying to get on my lap while I work. I realized he might just be cold, and after some brief googling found that this brand seems to be well reviewed and safe. I got the larger size, which is big enough with some extra space for him to sprawl out (he's about 9 pounds.) I washed the cover and set it up for him and he hasn't left it since. It's warm but not hot, and I feel safe leaving it plugged it all day. I washed on cold and put in the dryer on low and it washed well. Highly recommend!

It’s really really small. But it works well, and is well made for the price. My ginger cat (15lbs) can barely fit in it. Sleeping isn’t an option but it’s a fine place to wait for supper to be served.

We purchased this for our 2 cats who love to lay over the heating vents. This is just large enough that one fits in at a time - sometimes causing battles between them. We keep it plugged in since it only heats up when there is weight on the pad. The furry cover is a good texture also for cats that love fuzzy blankets. I have actually thought about purchasing a second one since our cats are starting to get older and our hardwood flooring is a little rough on them. It is worth the price we paid for this bed. The only problem I have with this is that it can be difficult to get the hair out from under the edge of the sides. But that has to do with the design shape and not the bed itself. It is easy enough to just run your fingertips along the edge to get the hair out. I cannot recommend enough if you have cats (or small dogs) that are cold in the winter and need a fuzzy little bed.

My dog loves this! I have 5 lb chihuahua who lost her cuddle-buddy last year, and I was worried about her being cold this winter. She loves sleeping on this! I put it on the couch next to me, and now she favors being on the couch over being in her crate. She's 15 years old, so I feel better knowing that her old joints are probably more comfortable now. Plus, instead of curling up like a fox with her paws under her, she often stretches out. So I know it's keeping her warm. My only complaint is that the color options are dark. I bought the brown. I wish there was a tan, light grey, or ivory so I could match my decor.

The bed is like the picture and just the right size for my cat. He is very happy with it. It is a little damaged on the bottom fabric. It’s like a burn. The foam in side is a title on the cheep side it doesn’t always lay flat. But my old fella is happy with it.

A small, well-made bed that feels surprisingly hard. The bed is 16" across to the outer edges, not 18", as advertised. The bed itself is 12" across. The 4" wide edge is nice and solid. Inside are 2 very thin layers of foam well under 1" thick together total (see photos). The 8" x 9" heating pad (not soft, obviously) is placed in between the layers. Less than 1/2" of foam between the solid heating pad and the thin fabric makes for a hard cat bed. This was not what I was expecting, and certainly not at this price.
