Denso Tape Denso Tape 50mm x 10m Rolls DENTAPE50MM

I was looking for something to put between the gas tank and holding strap on my vintage car. Some folks in Australia on a car blog recommended it and it works great. Provides a great water repellent barrier and will not just dry out and crumble away.

Don't know why this stuff isn't more popular in the U.S. - or maybe I just wasn't aware of it before. I wrapped my leaf springs with it after liberally coating them with Fluid Film. Sure they'll be coated with sand and grime, but inside they'll be corrosion free and clean! Replaced my leaf springs recently. I unwrapped them an took some photos before i scrapped them. The springs saw submersion in salt water multiple times, but the Denso Tape did the job. I could have re-soaked it more often as it was pretty dry is many places.

This is the only thing that will keep moisture out in the worst environments. Like the impenetrable jungle in New Guinea or under a few hundred feet of water. You’ll get used to the waxy brown sticky goo… Squeeze the tape after application to mold it and fill any voids in the wax.

Wrap those leaf springs!....or anything else to keep corrosion at bay or squirrels from eating your vehicles wiring.

This stuff is a simple but effective idea that has worked for decades. If you have a pipe or metal structure in damp or corrosive environment Denso Paste + Denso Tape products are the corrosion engineer's choice. If you are concerned with the look, a neat installation will eventually "skin over" and can be painted but does not require it. They have awesome products for underground and underwater pipe to virtually eliminate external corrosion. Other manufacturers have tried to copy the idea, but this stuff is the original.

Fab stuff, everyone should have some of this in the house. Works wonders on most leaks, provided there is no pressure involved. Waste pipes, sinks, baths, toilets etc, give it a few overlapping layers & Presto!! No more leaks, temporary or permanent it works a treat.
