YoLink Products are easy to use and work great!
YoLink products are great and easy to use (I've been using them for at least 8 years). I have their HUB, audible alarm, many water sensors, smart plugs, water valve operator, and garage door controllers. They all work seamlessly with their mobile app and are easy to set-up. The water sensors have saved my home from water damage at least 4-times. If you don't have water sensors in your home, it's only a matter of time before you experience a water even that will cost you a lot of money. YoLink's products will pay for themselves many times over because it avoids costly water damage. Garage operators provide peace of mind that garage is not open (plus can operate remotely if needed).

This could be the start of a beautiful relationship...
Humphrey Bogart quote notwithstanding, this is the most impressive home automation startup I've ever dealt with. I decided to add water leak detection to my home automation setup and originally chose a DLink option, based on some positive previous experiences. But DLink's device is not ready for prime time- I never could get it to communicate properly and gave up. I then saw YoLink's leak detectors on Amazon with some very strong reviews, so I figured I'd give them a try. The system, which does require a hub, was simple to set up and worked perfectly. The LoRA technology they use has many benefits over WiFi or Bluetooth, allowing widely spaced sensors that last 2 years on 2 AA batteries, providing incredibly flexible placement options. The only thing I didn't realize is that it utilizes notifications to your cell phone or PC to alert you to a problem. I didn't want to miss a problem that happened at night when our phones are downstairs on chargers, so I looked for a siren option to add to the hub. That's when I found this product, the YoLink Speaker Hub, which apparently had just been introduced- there were only 12 reviews. But they were solid reviews and I was already impressed by the ease and performance of my YoLink detectors, so I ordered this to replace the silent hub I started with. Well, from the amazing capabilities and expansion options of the Speaker Hub, it is obvious that YoLink has big plans for a comprehensive home automation suite. This is both a good and a possibly less good thing. The flexibility to customize alarms, alerts, notifications, spoken alerts, etc is great. But the learning curve is much steeper. So to get the Speaker Hub to do what I wanted required 2 calls to customer service. And this is where YoLink blew my socks off. Both calls were answered by the second ring by a YoLink engineer! And these guys know their system software inside and out. The first call got me 90% of the way there, but one issue stumped me. The second call resolved that issue in a couple of minutes. The system now provides an audible alert that announces which detector sensed a leak, as well as sending text notifications and emails in case we weren't home. All of this happens within seconds of the sensor touching water- they even placed contacts on top of the sensor so it can detect a leak that is dripping from above before a pool of water forms. In the process of speaking to the engineers, it is clear that they are rightly proud of their product, and intend to continue improving and expanding its capabilities. The leak detectors using the Speaker Hub are a great solution on their own, but it is obvious that they've built in a ton of capabilities so that as they expand their offerings, they won't have to modify the software every time they add another device. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. Your move, YoLink!

Water Leak Detection
No regrets yet. Setup was a breeze. All the sensors connected on the first try, no problem. The app's super easy to use and has way more features than I'll probably ever use. Can't say for sure how accurate the sensors are, but they haven't gone offline since I put them in. After dealing with a huge water leak before, these sensors are totally worth it for the peace of mind.

So far, all is good. Was easy to set up in my home and with Home Assistant
Working great so far, and I really appreciate how it can integrate with my home assistant system to be able to monitor everything in one place. It's affordable and easy to set up. Luckily, we haven't had to test it with any leaks yet, but I'm confident that it will work if that issue arises.

Small size, very sensitive to water and a snap to install.
This unit is very tiny and works great. It is pretty sensitive to water. It is easy to use, just pare it up with your YoLink hub and set it where you want water to be detected. It can be pared directly to a water shut-off device from YoLink if you are using it that way. We placed ours on our boat to alert us if the bilge pump fails for some reason. Our neighbor's boat sunk recently during a storm while docked because their pump failed. We don't want this to happen to us. It is a good security investment value for our piece of mind.

These work well. Great range. 4 stars because this one replaced one that stopped working
I've had Yolink devices for many years. I love that they are easy to add to my hub, fantastic range and do what they are supposed to do. The app is easy and intuitive. I knocked one star off because one of my leak detectors said it had a bad battery, so I went in to replace it. Followed instructions, and it simply wouldn't be recognized by the hub or come back online. I tried several batteries and tested the voltage, but nothing would bring it back. It was a few years old, so probably out of warranty. They are so inexpensive, though, I just ordered another one to replace it. I received the new one, and it paired up no problem. I'm back in business. I took one star off because this was a replacement for the one that just stopped working and wouldn't come back online, no matter what I tried. I have many YoLink devices, and this is the only one that has done this so far, so I'm not deterred from YoLink at all.

Great value for price!
Love these! Work great when our sump pump gets over loaded. Have them under our sinks and along basement walls. Like that they have audible alarms and call my phone. Very easy to set up and use. Have these at home and work. Highly recommend them!

Saved me a lot of work!!!!
I have a lot of YoLink devices, and love the entire system. It gives me peace of mind, especially when I'm away from home. A few years ago (before I purchased my first YoLink) my HVAC froze up, and I didn't know until it stopped cooling. I added a "dumb" alarm to the pan underneath the unit, but when I tested it, I couldn't hear it from upstairs. I just had to hope that if we had an issue, we would eventually hear it going off. There was also no way to know if the battery was good or not, without testing it manually. As we started expanding our YoLink system, we decided to give their leak detector a try. I purchased 2, one to go in the pan under my HVAC unit, and one to put underneath my water heater. My water heater was not installed with a pan underneath, so I was just *hoping* that if I had a leak, it would get wet and work. Fast forward 2 years, and I had pretty much forgotten that I had them. About midnight, my phone alarmed, and it was the leak detector underneath my water heater. It turned out to be a small leak, and I got lucky that the water flowed towards the detector. It was such a small leak, and my water heater sits in a location where we don't walk close to it very often. There is ZERO doubt in my mind that if I didn't have that leak detector, that it would have leaked for days, if not longer, before it was noticed. As it was, I was able to turn off the water, and clean up the water that leaked with a single bath towel. We caught it before it did any damage to the floor, wall or trim. I love the peace of mind that comes with being notified of problems, whether it's at midnight, and especially when I'm away from home. I don't have to worry about whether batteries are good or not, since it lets you know. We added a pan under our new water heater, and of course, the leak detector lives in that pan. There is now little chance that a leak can happen that I won't know about now. Thanks YoLink!
