Dead Silence [Blu-ray]

Ive wanted this movie for awhile finally found it on bluray so i scopped it up during a sale recieved it in excellant condition super quick a few days sooner then expected

Talk about nostalgia! Me and my sister used to watch Dead Silence all the time in the early 2010s. Watching it again was great despite not remembering much. The unrated version doesn't push it with things like extreme gore but instead includes several new scenes/additions to the film that I personally enjoyed and think added to the film. The imagery and horror aspects are all top notch as aspected from James Wan. It even has the signature tint that so many early 2000s movies had to set the mood. I'm not a big fan of this to be honest, this is one of the things I'm glad went away as the years moved on. Because of this tint, all the colors are mostly muted. However, it does highlight and enhance all the reds by making it pop. This movie wasn't as scary or as good as I remember.. but it was and will always be both nostalgic and just a good time.Video quality: Dead Silence came out in 2007 but it wouldn't be until 2015, 8 years later, that a blu ray would be released. The blu ray quality is okay. Some scenes show noticeable grain on screen with some softness. Other scenes are surprisingly great at showing fine detail on faces, hair, clothing, etc. Again, I feel like the tint over the movie contributes to the lack of detail by making everything muted. But it is what it is. A 4k version of this film would definitely improve the quality. I'm sure the tint will remain but I've seen how dvd to blu ray of the Ring (2002) enhanced the colors a bit which I imagine would happen here.Audio quality: Dead Silence is presented in DTS-HD Master audio 5.1 lossless soundtrack. It sounds like any other movie to me, crisp and impressive all throughout.

It's a nice movie for a night watch with your friends.. sounds can be a bit not so clean in detail.. but overall it is great to watch,, popcorn needed 😄😄

Literally the best thing that ever happened to horror film franchise!!

We, three high schoolers, saw this when it came out in theaters. It terrified us. Esp me. The girl already afraid of dolls."Have you heard of Mary Shaw? She had no children, only dolls..."Remember Slappy from Goosebumps? Yea this is Slappy 8000.Okay I just hate dolls. And this movie terrifies me.Great actors. Good story line. Top 10 favorite horror film of all time.
