Elite.
I've had this screen installed for a few days now, I've unravelled and contracted it several times and it seems to be fluid and sturdy. (I was weary after reading several reviews on a similar screen that said it was frail and broke quickly) But so far it seems to work fine. Installation was a royal pain, as the studs in my ceiling are almost impossible to find or non-existent. Nevertheless, I did some weight tests and I think it should definitely be secure.Yes... the screen bar is actually a slight off-white, but I think it is for the better, as I have eggshell walls and when rolled back up (or when rolled out) it blends into the wall... with dim lights, the most noticeable aspect is the black frame around the screen which works great with bleed over the edges from your projector. The color produced seems great, although I have little to compare it to and of course it also depends on the integrity of your projector. There is very slight "ripple" effect from the screen being tightened to the pulldown bar... only most noticeable when there is scrolling horizontal text in the movie - which doesn't happen that often - and even then, it is not anything to cry about. (UPDATE) this either seemed to correct itself, or I no longer notice it as it has been a few years and I never think about this issue anymore. The edges do still bow inwards slightly, but only upon the first few minutes of unraveling. If you open it, leave it for a few, then watch your film - no problem.So... as of now, I am giving this 4 stars. Should it fail sometime in the coming months I will update my review, but as of now I have nothing too negative to say about this screen.2012 UPDATE: The screen is still installed perfectly, still unrolls and collapses perfectly, no signs of wear on the screen.2013 UPDATE: Still works as good as it ever did. Ripples seem to be gone. I love this screen.

Not exactly as advertised
After about 5 months of use, I tugged on the handle one night to roll up the screen and it shot up with no slow release. All of a sudden, the SRM feature broke. I didn't pay it too much mind at first, but then every use, i was a little upset. SRM is really nice. Its what i paid for. So I contacted customer support, figuring it could be fixed via warranty.I kid you not, the first thing they said to me: "This particular model screen that you have is not really designed to have the SRM feature. Our factory used components that were available to them at the time to make the screens, which is why the screen retracts slowly at first. Any replacement we send you will do the same thing as this exact model is not really meant to be SRM."On the bright side, I did not take that as an acceptable answer and with one push back, they sent me a new one.On a technical note, they're probably right. If they didn't change the design, it will probably just keep breaking. Upon my replacement arriving, I took apart the old one to see what was going on. Its clearly a bad design. See image for the broken one and my fixed version. So if you're really interested in SRM, I can't recommend this screen.Otherwise, i really enjoy it. I had no wrinkles and very little dents upon arrival.

Excellent!
This is my first review, and my first purchase of over $50 on Amazon, needless to say I was nervous about buying this screen. I read all reviews and was skeptical about maybe a few dents, issues pulling it down or retracting, folds, or even shipping issues.I was definitely satisfied. I've had it for a few days now and use it on my LCD projector and have no issues of any sort. I recieved the screen within only a few days of shipping date with no dents, or any other physical issues. Screen looks like the photo that is posted, and matches details. One con I would say is that it did not come with hanging brackets or hooks, but that is expected considering they don't know what you need to hang it and where. The only other (and biggest, and i say that lightly) con are the mild creases on the bottom of the screen, also to be expected from a pull down screen.I am a little picky when it comes to theatrical experience, working with theaters for almost 6 years now, and have to say this is definitely worth the $100 for a home theater experience.

Decent for the Cost
Based on the size and the cost this is a perfectly acceptable screen. Our's doesn't seem to roll up with much strength but maybe that's something to expect with a new screen. It also tends to want to roll itself up a few inches after you've set it.There aren't any major flaws or defects in the screen to hamper watching video on, no twisting or ripples. One thing that may be worth noting is we hung this on our entertainment center, in front of the TV and all the A/V equipment and with the exception of the PS3's BT remote control, none of the remote controls work through the screen meaning we can't turn volume of sound system up or down with the screen down. This maybe a common issue with all screens so, take that for what you will....Would have loved to have had a black option for this unit, it is sort of distracting seeing the white unit hanging in a dark A/V room. Too bad it's $5 less this week and I just got mine. =(

so when there is action on the screen like the camera panning from left to right
I was unable to retract the screen. I had to take it off the wall and take it apart and manually roll it back up, then I had to wind the tension back up and ended up hurting my hand when it snapped back around. I finally got the screen back to where I want, but I have to leave it where it is, I can't get it to retract. The screen is also wavy, so when there is action on the screen like the camera panning from left to right, the image looks very distorted. I would HIGHLY recommend not purchasing this screen. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
