Tasty, Nutritious & Amazing for Plants 🌿🥛
I love molasses and was raised drinking molasses and milk at bedtime, so this product brings me right back to those days. The flavor is rich, the quality is excellent, and the health benefits are a big plus. Blackstrap molasses is packed with iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which help with energy, bone health, and overall wellness. It’s also a natural sweetener with a lower glycemic impact than refined sugar. On top of that, it’s not just for people I give it to my plants as well. It feeds beneficial microbes in the soil, promotes stronger roots, and adds natural carbs for soil life. For cannabis growers especially, it’s excellent for boosting yield, improving flavor, and keeping plants healthy the natural way. This brand is consistent, organic, and versatile. Delicious in the kitchen and powerful in the garden. Highly recommend!

I began mixing 1 tbsp into my oats in the morning, along with 1 date, sunflower seed butter, Greek yogurt, and Hemp protein powder. This is my first time tasting molasses directly, and (to me) it tastes like medicine. But because I love soft-baked Molasses cookies, I figured I'd buy som molasses and mix it into my oats. The taste is nothing like what I had in mind. However, I do understand that it needs something really sweet to counter the bitterness. This is where the dates come in.What I really like about it is that it adds extra depth to my oats, and seems to help in regulating my appetite. Normally I wouldn't be completely satisfied after my oats and id reach for some fruit right after, but since I've been adding molasses, I am full and satisfied with just the oats until my next meal. I wasn't expecting that at all.I also feel a bit more relaxed throughout the day. As for the taste, it's definitely an ingredient 😜 and that's pretty much it lol. I guess I assumed it would compare to something like maple syrup...but now I know.Update: July 16, 2025to measure, I place the bottle on a foodscale, dip a plastic spoon 🥄 inside of the opening, and allow the excess to drain back into the bottle (holding the spoon over the opening) until the scale reads a specific amount. The portion that I need will be attached the spoon (on all sides). At this point I just mix it in to whatever I am adding it to 🥣. This is alot less messy than pouring and being left with streaks running down the sides of the bottle. I'm sure others have found more creative ways of getting it out, but this is the method that popped in my head and it's working 🤓🤭

Not labeled as BlackStrap like another one of theirs, but is.
Labeling issue. Some from this brand are labeled on the front as BlackStrap, some are not. I wanted to use the molasses to make brown sugar from Allulose for an ingredient in home made ice cream, so I wanted the non- blackstrap version because blackstrap is way too bitter. After receiving what i thought was the non-blackstrap version, I read the small print on the back table and found tha this is actually Blackstrap. Maybe the back lable is wrong, but once I open it, I'll have to keep it. Unfortunate. Organic, non-gmo and great price, but it would ruin everything I'd use it in.

Helps me ward off anemia and is great for an emotional boost in the form of ginger cookies!
Everyone has a different reason for wanting to use molasses, especially for that added jolt of 750mg of potassium. Me? I’ve been using it successfully to avoid extreme anemia and also for old-fashioned ginger cookies which I adore. On the Wholesome Sweeteners site, they offer up one by Chef Malika Ameen, which I’ve included below. There’s a decent jolt of iron in the Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Molasses at 15%. I was at the docs again yesterday and so far I’ve been avoiding those specialized iron shots. A tablespoon away seems to be doing the trick. This molasses does have a strong taste, but that’s to be expected with blackstrap molasses.I’m finding that it’s not only good for iron intake, but also a nice little energy booster. Cookies not so much so, but good for an emotional boost. I do like the fact that it’s Fairtrade Certified in addition to being USDA certified. It’s so much better than having to take pills or, worse yet, get shots.Chewy Ginger Cookies By Chef Malika AmeenINGREDIENTS:1 cup all-purpose flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp sea salt1/2 tsp ground Vietnamese cinnamon1/4 tsp ground ginger1 tsp ground cardamom1/4 tsp ground white pepper1/4 tsp Fairtrade cocoa powder3/4 cup Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Sugar2 tbsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Light Brown Sugar2 tsp orange zest5 tbsp melted butter at room temperature, preferably European style1 Cage-free organic egg white1 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger2 tbsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Molasses1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract1/4 tsp Wholesome Sweeteners Fairtrade Organic Sugar, for rollingDirections:In a bowl, combine flours, baking soda, salt, spices and cocoa. Whisk together. In another medium sized bowl mix together organic sugars and orange zest. Rub together gently with your fingers to release the oils in the zest. Add butter and beat together on medium speed until combined. Beat in egg white, fresh ginger, organic molasses and vanilla until smooth. Add in flour mixture all at once and beat on low until thoroughly mixed. Chill dough overnight.Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat.Place 1/4 cup of sugar in a plate. Scoop 1 tsp of dough and roll between the palm of your hands to make an even ball. Roll dough in organic sugar making sure all sides are coated. Place on baking tray. Repeat with remaining cookies. If dough begins to get warm, chill for 5-7 minutes before baking. Bake cookies 8-10 minutes maximum for chewy cookies. Bake longer for crisp cookies.Recipe source:Chef Malika Ameen

Great value
Molasses is a great source of iron and isn’t overly sweet. This purchase was a great value on molasses and the shelf life is almost two years. Plus it’s organic.

Not my favorite but ok
Other blackstrap molasses brand have better flavor and more iron, calcium, and potassium. Also plastic bottle. But it works

Good Molasses
The molasses are very good. There was a slight leak around the lid so maybe they should be wrapped in plastic before shipping.
