KC600 SSD SKC600B/1024G Internal SSD 2.5", SATA Rev 3.0, 3D TLC, XTS-AES 256-bit encryption - With upgrade kit

We have had a Toshiba Satellite Laptop for some time, mainly for playing SIMS 4. We found that after upgrading to the latest version of WIndows 10 (2004) that performance suffered massively. Processor and RAM were fine so I decided to swap out the old hard drive for a shiney new SSD. Decided on the KC600 1TB as its fully supported on my laptop and also came with the full upgrade kit which was handy! That, alongside its capacity & price point were the compelling factors for purchasing. As i didn't want to lose anything, I simply booted into Windows on my laptop and then attached the SSD via USB (using the cradle supplied with the kit). You do get a coupon with the kit to download and use Acronis software but I opted to use Macrium Reflect Free home edition. So, installed Macrium Reflect attached the SSD via USB and then just ran the software. Selected CLONE and then selected all my existing partitions to clone onto the SSD and hit GO. 30 minutes later the clone had completed without issue so it was time to shutdown the laptop and swap out the drives. I removed the old hard drive and replaced it with the SSD and then got ready for lift off! WOW - boot time went from over 2 minutes to a ridiculous 7 seconds to get the WIN10 login splash screen. Logging in and seeing the desktop instantly appear with no lag or jitter is just incredible. The big test was of course running SIMS 4 and I confess it has never run so fast or so smooth on this laptop! So in summary - cloning my existing hard drive means I lost no data and so could simply swap out the existing hard drive with the SSD and keep everything (operating system included) without issue. Boot, login and gaming performance improved beyond my expectations. Highly recommended - this basically saved me purchasing a new gaming laptop and the performance we now have is amazing for an i5 laptop with 8GB RAM!

Fitted in one of my older laptops which was painstakingly slow. Perfect replacement and a straight forward boot instal of W11 24H2. Folders cloned from other in house laptop and running efficiently and fast now.

My OS drive is weeks away from failure so I went ahead to buy one of these for replacing it. It isn't a refurbished drive like a lot of other drives being sold on here, but it doesn't come with screws so I had to find some for it when installing it. When it came to installing windows on it the seller says it's ready to go, but I had to manually format this drive using my current OS before I was able to install a fresh Windows installation onto the drive as it wasn't being recognized by the installer. All is well now and it seems to be working well. I'll update this review if it does start to cause issues though and I'll mark down dates of when the issues occur to compare it to when I bought it.

Firstly I’d like to say I was skeptic about the tech details when I read it would reach 15x faster than HDD. It was the reason why I bought this SDD as 252GB. Well, I must say I’m really impressed and it surely is the most well performed upgrade I have been done. I’m saying honestly. At some point I decided record this video to help other people to see exactly what expect for this KIGSTON Sdd. Before I decided changing the Hd for one SDD I watched so many videos at YouTube, comparing the performances and I still was skeptics and I was wondering why not change this laptop. As you will see, it’s true what they say. The performance is now fabulous. The value of money is a bargain comparing to the result you will reach. I do recommend

On the top end of value but I suppose you pay for quality, only time will tell if the value for money is there. Very easy to install the actual unit into my notebook although be aware that although the kit that comes with it is great and easy to use the cloning program supplied doesn’t work in many drives and mine was in of them. After many attempts I eventually fresh installed windows to the drive. Worth looking into before buying the kit with the drive as I could have bought the cheaper option of drive only. My own mistake!

Replacing the existing drive in my Toshiba laptop has transformed the computer. The machine boots in seconds rather than minutes and Word and Excel files open almost instantly. The supplied software made cloning the existing drive easy. Fitting the drive was a doddle. It took less than 21/2 minutes from picking up the screwdriver to remove the access cover to having the Windows desktop open running from the new drive.

The sdd comes with all the bits you could possible want. The software, however, didn't work. I contacted Acronis, the software providers and paid £14 for assistance. Having wasted 5 hours trying to do it myself, it seemed the best way was to pay for help. When I spoke to Acronis, it turned out that it wasn't their software, but a copy. I then had to pay for the full version of the cloning software. So, keep this in mind. It all works now and was easy to do, once I had the real software. I saved £40 buying from Amazon rather than direct from Kingston, but then spent £35 for the software. Luckily Acronis refunded me the £14 for assistance.

We got this today and have it already up and running in our laptop. We cloned the old hdd (from the laptop) onto the new ssd with a software, using the license key that was included in the product. It was seamless and quick! Absolutely worth the money - laptop is sooooo much quicker now!!

I've been using this chip in my Lenovo Idea Pad Yoga for a few months now with no issues. It effectively quadrupled my computers memory and gave it new life. For anyone not aware, it's important to note that this is not a Plug and Play device. The installation requires that you use an appropriate app to transfer Windows (or other operating system) along with all the data from your old memory chip. There are YouTube videos showing you how to do this quite easily for those not familiar with the procedure. With this memory boost you also have the capability to upgrade to a more current operating system if that is your goal. The Kingston KC600 has performed flawlessly in my computer since I installed it and I use my old chip for additional storage.

到着期限に一日遅れで届きました。 てっきり上海あたりからの送付と思っていたら、発送先と返送先の住所はイギリス、ただポストカードはスウェーデンでした。 KingStonの製品はSDカード（速度300MB）を何枚も使用中であり、信頼のおける製品でしたので、こちらも心配なく購入しました。 今迄のSSDが満タン寸前で心配でしたので、急遽早く届く他のSSDも購入しました。 結果、１つは？？、１つはOK（販売が国内の会社）でしたが、総合性能でKingSton製品に分がありましたので、こちらを採用しました。 他のSSDも同様ですが、ファイルがRAWのままではPCは認識しません。 コントロールパネルのシステムの詳細からデスクを見つけ、フォーマットをすると問題なく認識します。 AOMEI Backupper Pro でクローンを作り、今迄のSSDを取り外し、このSSDを取り付けました。 PCは問題なく起動し、順調に使用出来ています。 写真１はUSBで接続時の速度、 写真２は組み込み後のSSDの速度です。 PCに組み込みSATA接続になってからが若干早いようです。

This product is great! It increased the speed of my computer tremendously. My computer only had one hard drive slot so I replaced it with the ssd entirely. this is the way I did it: first: down load the free cloning software: place the ssd in the usb interface box and connect it to a usb port on the computer you wish to update (usb 3.0 port is best.) run the program and eventually the computer will restart and will run the program. the task bar didn't seem to move so I restarted the computer and redid it; again the task bar did move, but this time I waited for about 15 to 30 minutes and eventually it did move; it copied my entire hard drive in a little more than an hour. then I replaced the hard drive with the ssd; then when I started the computer back up, windows came up in seconds instead of minutes. the speed of my computer seemed to increase anywhere between 5 to 10x faster. If you want to increase the speed of an older computer this is the way to do it!
