These wire taps made my life easier to hook up an electric fan in my 96 Toyota Tacoma. They fit pretty snug in my fuse box and the fuses actually fit even tighter on the tap which is what you want because you don’t want a loose connection. The only thing that I didn’t like was that they use aluminum wire instead of copper. Aluminum is cheaper and lighter than copper which explains why they are so cheap. I soldered mine instead of using the crimp connector that it comes with to add piece of mind. I’ve had crimp connections fail before. They also include 5 15 amp fuses but I used a 10 amp fuse for my circuit plus those fuses look more like 5 amp in my opinion. But for the price they do the job. I gave it 4 stars because if they would have been made out of copper instead of aluminum they would have been perfect, but I guess they would have cost double. They still do the job!

Very good product and cheap

I used these to "hack" the DCM fuse in my outback, a known problem for battery drain. These worked great, easy to use and solve my problem If I had to give them any con, the fuse slots are really tight, this may be a good thing in the long run, but getting the fuses in required some careful rocking of the fuse to get it fully seated. .

There are multiple fuse boxes in my van, but the primary one is under the dash. The fuse receptacle is recessed between two plastic ridges that I initially thought wouldn't allow me to use the tap, but after some trial and error it fits, at least in the locations I need to use it for. I need it to support a current draw of 12 amps, but that exceeds the fuse that is in the slot that I need to tap into, so I'll have to use that circuit to control a relay that will switch a higher draw circuit from a second tap in an empty slot. Not a big deal, but less straightforward. The taps are unusable in the fuse box at the rear of the van, as the sockets are recessed too far. Does anyone know if someone makes a fuse/socket extension for situations like that? I've found some that plug in to a mini socket but then have a standard fuse receptacle. I'd like to find one that has a mini plug with a mini socket.

Fuses tight, yes, they say that, so need to be turned over on hard surface to push in but go right in and WON'T fall out!!! They're OK but would be better if straight out with fuse holder and not right angled wire as out of 6 possible sockets only one usable due to hitting other fuses/blocks ect and should have a vertical version, PERIOD!!!!!! Learned that fuses have a hot side, makes since now, just never thought about it so Also makes getting it in the right way to get power VERY HARD with the fuse holder to low and in the WAY Everytime if not completely void of any other fuses or fuse blocks close!!!!!!!!
