Double Dip Devil's Ivy - Epipremnum Aureum - 4" Hanging Basket - New/Easy

This plant is apparently sold for half the price under other names such as Jade Pearl Pathos for less money at places like Walmart. However, it was worth the price to have it delivered to my door during this pandemic! I was worried about mixed reviews but the plant showed up alive and well. I immediately transplanted and mine was not unrooted freshly cut pieces of another plant as some other customers experienced. This plant is a beautiful addition to a room that doesnt get a lot of bright sunlight. I love the double dip!Note: TOXIC TO PETS, keep out of reach from pets & kids

While the plant appeared healthy when it arrived, there was only one stalk and it had some withered leaves already, which does happen during shipping. I put it in a window and watered it. As the days and 2 weeks went by, the plant kept losing leaves to the point where now there is only one left. The stalk was also sagging so that it was almost horizontal. When i pulled gently, it gave way and came completely out. There were only 2 thin roots - not enough to sustain a plant of its size. I removed the dead leaves and put the stalk in water - I hope the nodes that were above the dirt can start sprouting new roots - it is a lovely plant and I am trying to save it. I'll post an update to let you know if it survives.

The plant was very well packaged and I experienced zero soil loss. It also came much earlier than expected, so that’s a huge plus. It is kind of small, but I don’t mind. It fit in this really cute pot that I just bought, so it’s kind of perfect.

Plant was healthy. When I received the plant I saw that I had 6 leaf starts with a single root started on each leaf. I expected a more established plant like I've received from other nurseries. The picture used to advertise is of a more establish plant. I do love the plant and hope it continues to establish itself.

Wanted to wright a nice review cuz it there were a lot of negative ones. I got my plant in 2 days after ordering. All reviews stated about them just being clippings and it’s a scam. I know how to propagate cuttings so I didn’t mind if it came like that. I took the plant out of the pot and it was full of healthy white roots. She is beautiful and a great price for a variegated plant with white... I would give it 5 stars but she has some brown spots due to being watered with unfiltered water but that can me fixed with a filtered sprits and some leaf shine! Love it!

I bought one from Jm Bamboo and it has been so beautiful. It is small now but I have a pothos I bought in 1988 still growing and if you set it up on a porch in the layer spring, feed it avery 3rd watering, you will have more than you want in no time. I do mean be patient but time passes fast when you grow some annuals to enjoy while this is getting big, utube should have instructions on when to transplant but DO NOT go fro a 4" pot to a 12" pot. It needs to go 6, then 8 (if not available let it root bound slightly then go to 10") You will be very happy and they have great prices on lucky bamboo including a heart shaped and the green fertiliser has doubled my roots in the marbles I used in the glass jars with low light from fluorescent lighting in My Drs office and on my fridge near a window till it gets warmer and I move them around I say you can be a winner for the Double Dip or the lucky bamboo or both cheap for what you get and very hard to find the Double Dip. I am buying a couple for gifts this summer

I’m pretty disappointed with this purchase. Not only is the plant much smaller than the photo, which I kind of expected. I added photos next to a solo cup for sizing perspective. It doesn’t seem to be rooted at all. It is just cuttings with no established roots, 3 of which have already died. Further more it came with Gnats!! I’ve now quarantined it in my bathroom so they do not spread to all my other plants. I’m hoping I can salvage it but it’s not looking good 😒

Years later, it is still growing. Easy to plant buds and multiply but it grows much slower than I expected. For the price, that is to be expected.
