If you have ever tried to light up a large burn pile then you know abuot the backdraft effect. The WOOOSHH when gas is hit by a flame. Small explosion! This unit eleminates that. Mix it with 25 % gas and 75% diesel for a slow light and burn. Works awesom. If you need to go back over an area that didnt start its no problem. Was suprised this device could be bought in this day and age. Used one 35 years ago to clear property and it was barrowed from the local voluntiere fire dept. Keep your mouth shut or it will be banned. Works too good!

Great for brush piles, controlled burns, and anything else one may need to start a quick fire with. Would recommend closer to 50/50 gas and diesel mix as this will ignite faster after hitting the ground. Curious for long term on how long the seals and gaskets will last but all around it is a great tool to have. You will not regret buying one.

I almost returned this because of its cost, but glad I didn't. I used it for the first time today to light some piles of leaves and it worked as advertised. It is well made and is professional quality imo. I talked to two retired fire fighters about this device and they both recommended it for its quality. Those two FF's also recommended using a ratio of 1:3 of gasoline to diesel and that was perfect for today. This manufacturer recommends using kerosine instead of gasoline with the diesel and maybe that works as well. I was a bit nervous at first, but it is a very safe device if used correctly. Have a water hose handy as it will lite whatever you are trying to ignite in quick fashion. Good luck.

Well constructed and works as advertised. Have used it multiple times to ignite brush piles as I clear some land. I would suggest a 4:1 diesel:gasoline mixture as straight diesel is difficult to ignite. Love it.

As a 30 year Firefighter, I bought one for projects around my property now that I'm retired. Very well worth the money and after using many drip torches throughout my career, I feel this is an awesome product.

This drip torch paid for itself the very first day I used it. I burned a 50 by 1000 yard buffer into the woods behind my house to choke out the briers and saplings. I normally spend hours very summer weedeating. This product is a great way to manage vegetation and save your back and time without using other equipment. I look forward to using it along fence lines after spraying with herbicide and letting the vegetation dry out. Made with the highest quality available.
