Rock Hard Gel, Firm-Hold Hair Gel For Long-Lasting Styles, Sulfate, Paraben, & Cruelty-Free, 6 Oz

I love this gel so much. It's got incredible hold, and wavy fine hair needs more hold than you'd think. This stuff doesn't weigh my hair down or leave residue/stickiness, but it does create a really good cast and then breaks up beautifully when you scrunch it out. My hair stays in defined curl clumps pretty much all day, even when it's humid. I think people who have had trouble with this gel aren't properly emulsifying it prior to application. You need to add a little water to your hands and rub it between your palms really well. It will look white and a little frothy when it's properly emulsified, and then it absorbs into your hair follicles nicely.

I’ve been using this product for a few years since I started styling my hair more naturally, it’s a great hard hold gel that lightweight finer texture wavy haired people can use. It gives my hair a great cast and holds my waves for a days. I also use it for my boys hair and it keeps my active 4 & 5 year old sons’ hair in place all day. Pros: solid cast, great for finer hair textures, use sparsely for best results, no weird scents and can be used for any gender. Cons: very sticky consistency and needs to be emulsified with water before using, and if you use too much it can leave flakes in your hair

This is most assuredly a strong old gel. I applied it in conjunction with my Jessicurl Confident Coils, and I have never had such good waves/curls since I went natural about 5 months ago. And I had hardly any frizz for the 1st 3-4 wash days after 0 wash day. It was only after I tried to freshen it with a mix of water, leave-in conditioner, and gel mixed in my spray bottle that the frizz began. I suppose it was the getting it wet that started the whole frizz thing. And a little goes a long way, and I strongly recommend that you emulsify it really well in your hands before you apply it, brush it in to distribute, and then scrunch it in. It is a very tacky gel, so you want to handle it with wet hands so it doesn't create a sticky mess. This is probably one of the best stronghold gels that I have tried. For me, it has even beaten out my Ouidad Stronger Hold Anti-Humidity Gel. I still had a good bit of frizz with that, but with this one, the frizz factor was negligible, and the humidity protection was fabulous (I live in the deep south with high humidity). I have fine, high porosity, medium density hair, and this did not weigh my hair down at all. It creates a great cast, which I slept in that I scrunched out with some bonding oil I use the next morning. I also suggest that it be applied to extremely wet hair; you will get better distribution if you do, and it makes it so much easier to brush through. I do most definitely recommend this gel if you are looking for a good cast, hard hold, and humidity protection.

It says medium hold, but this is a very strong hold on my short hair. As others have noted, it combs out soft and smooth when dry, giving one the option for various textures with the addition of a little water. Great for rainy and humid whether--a quick finger-comb fixes me up! Just a little on short hair is plenty. I like to mix a few drops of water with a small dollop of gel.

This gel is AMAZING for curly hair! I finally broke the cast on day 3 because it wasn't really budging on its own. I was STILL getting compliments on my "beautiful curls" on day EIGHT!! That was with NO refresh, as I don't do refreshes. This is the longest lasting gel I have ever used. It is also about half the price of my former gel. The texture is thinner than most, but it's highly concentrated.

This gel did not work well in my hair. I never got a hard cast and did not hold my fine curls.

Works wonderfully. I wake up next day, (or the day After), and can dampen hair to arrange/rearrange it in desired way, NOT have to Restyle it, (Nor rewash it, since my hair does not get oily quickly at all)!

This product gives you whatever level of hold you like, depending on how much you use. Best of all, there is no messy build- up of product in your hair. Curls will last for up to a week. If you want a firm hold, this is for you.

This is hands down the hardest hold gel I've found. It's also curly girl approved (no silicone or wax) and contains protein. Holds up in high humidity. My hair loves this gel an I buy it over and over.

I have tried many gels and this one is the best for my fine hair, I have lots of hair but it is super fine, and this gel holds my curls in place with out weighing them down.
