Does NOT come with 6 wheels. It comes with 4, and the logic is that the 24" wheel can be used as the 12" and 6" by screwing the little plastic tabs on the wheels.We have a 48" long stove and usually cut our wood 22" so it fits in two deep; 24" is too long. It would be great if they made something in between 18" and 24". I'll have to either use the 14" with one of the screw-on plastic pieces to mark every 7" and then cut every 3rd mark (but that's kind of a lot of paint), or make my own wheel. Saw someone had done that with an old circular saw blade. Might do that.

Hard to start the thing going at the required length.......once going works pretty good. maybe with more practice it will work better?

Make sure you read the directions so your first mark is not off. After that it will mark it perfectly everytime. Ordered a semi load of logs with a friend (that we split). I used white paint, he used orange. My marks were smaller, his larger for his stove. No more guessing.

I've cut wood my whole life. For the time it takes to run thus down the log, if you do several at once, you save in cutting time. Not to say all your wood is consistant.

This thing is just plain old fun. I am not usually this anal, but sometimes as I get tired, tend to let the wood get a little long. This stops that.
