Some good stories, some are not as entertaining, would not read it again.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my grandson, age 12, who plays and LOVES hockey. I thought this book might give him some insight as to why others loved this sport as much as he does. I have read many Chicken Soup for The Soul books and have never been disappointed, so I knew this was going to be a good book for him to read. In fact, I felt lucky to find such a book. I carefully opened the book and read a story or two and I was not disappointed. I know my grandson will love this book.

I enjoyed this book as much as my hockey playing son. It's suitable for both the avid reader and the reluctant reader who has connections to hockey.

This book is simply a beautiful read. It is about Hockey and Life, both with capital letters. Each and every story brings a smile, a touching of the heart, a welling-up of memories, a connection with others, SOMETHING of importance and value. It's a book that's an easy read, and one that will make your life better for having read it. Lastly, this book is for the true hockey "lifer", the deep fan, the casual fan, and anyone with a heart and soul. Do you yourself a favor and read this book.

Lots of warm stories regarding hockey and the essence of being on a rink (outdoor and indoor) that are told from everyday people-point of views and those of NHL players past and present. A humbling read that reminds you of the good times, even if you didn't share in the same ones.

I purchased this book for my nephew. He wanted this book awhile ago. I wasn't sure it was for his age level. I read some of the reviews and it seemed perfect for him. He told me he is reading a story a night and is enjoying the stories very much. He hopes they make more hockey books like this one.

I brought this for a friend that is a fan of hockey and thought the stories may uplift her during moments of upset. She was thrilled with the book.
