Kelty TC Sun Hood

After purchasing an older Kelty Kids Town model carrier, I had a hard time finding any kind of sun shade for that model. My carrier does not have slots for the rods in the front, nor loops for the Velcro in the back. I purchased two other (non-Kelty) sunshades hoping they would work, and neither could be strapped on in any way. After purchasing this one, I was able to get it to fit pretty solid by using loops or hooks already on the pack. Is it a perfect fit? No. Does it work and shade my little man from the sun? Absolutely!!!! Five stars for fitting a model that it isn't designed for!

We have a kelty kids ridgeline carrier. I don't believe this is the correct sun shade for it, however, it works well enough, if you have a little Macgyver in you. It secured well; the wind hasn't torn it off yet. It appears to have plenty of head room for my daughter, though it is a bit more challenging getting her in and out now. Well worth the trade off, either a happy daughter or a hot miserable one. I choose happy. Hope this helps!!!

We ordered this sun shade for the Kelty backpack that we bought on closeout. We weren't sure it would actually fit but it is perfect! Our daughter loves riding in the backpack and this hood makes it so that she is well shaded - until she leans her head out the side to look around dad's head! Well worth the money for this well-made, easy to install sun hood.

This hood was what we needed, though it is not a perfect fit for our Kelty backpack. It doesn't hook in the back as we need one with snaps but it holds well enough and fits in every other aspect. Good product.

Didn't fit like I thought it would based on the description. Managed to make it work though and its a well built sun hood.

Keeps the sun out, although it does not match to all Kelty backpacks.

Fits perfect. Great complement for the backpack. Highly recommended. I liked this color bettter over the grey, regardless of the backpack color.

We purchased this hood for our TC 2.0 after reading other advertisements that it was compatible. This hood is not compatible with the TC 2.0, just the original TC. Best Service also hasn't responded after 3 weeks to see if they do any kind of trade-in or return. I'm disappointed, at least that they haven't responded.
