A great red when you want a bright and less transparent red
I use my paints in pans. So they dry between uses but Windsor and newton paints don’t crack up and fall out.

This is for cobalt violet
I will start by saying I love many WN watercolors. Cad red, cerulean, french ultra. But Cobalt Violet is horrible. Absolutely unusable imo and for the amount of pigment (vs binder!) is hardly worth the money. Love the color! But oh my gosh, the amount of gum Arabic I had to squire out before getting true pigment, and even then - after I poured and mixed into a pan, filled to brim - it shrunk to half full. I was going to squeeze more in there, but again I could see it was gum Arabic at top. I stuck my skinny palette knife in there and it was gum Arabic for most of the tube! At the very tip of my knife there was thicker pigment, but still “watery”.So not recommend. So sad because I love the color. Time to research more brands.
