Absolutely fantastic quality, has taken my YouTube channel to a new level
So after starting my YouTube channel 5 months ago, one thing that really stood out was poor audio quality, I had previously used the Hyper X S Quadcast mic, which was not only problematic with OBS but also causing issues with low volume. I was becoming increasingly frustrated, so started looking at alternatives, the Rode was a well known brand that seemed a good option. I have been so blown away by the difference, the quality is exceptional not only the build quality but sound quality is absolutely superb, my advice you pay for what you get, yes this is more expensive than many other options but it is exponentially better in every way. It also benefits from needing no additional software and is plug and play, the inclusion of a pop filter is also great, as these are often an optional extra. Really pleased to recommend this amazing product, i’m now going to get the Rode arm to match.

Great quality for home recording
Great mic for home recording, with a little mixing it sounds great. Very nice, definitely worth the price. Took me 6 months to figure out how to use the stand, but I am an idiot

I am SO thankful and grateful
I needed a good mic for my voice overs and podcasts, I had been choosing between Blue-Yeti and Rode-NT. Rode's mic has a pop-filter in the box which is a big plus for me, because although I could order a delivery for Blue-Yeti to my country, but no pop-filter seller gave me that option so I would had to buy a pop-filter locally somewhere. The main problem for me was that Rode-NT is more expensive, it didn't fit into my budget, but then I decided to wait for awhile and just in a few days Amazon put it on 30 pounds sale and that was the perfect time for my purchase. I've used [...] to watch over the price on the mic and it sent me an email when the price dropped, very helpful. The delivery was outstanding, it was rocket-speed! In less than a week I got the package right to my house, thanks to UPS so very much, they are the best! Now that I have used the mic, I can say that the only weak point about it is the tripod - it feels fragile and it's very low, I have to move my head down to be close to the mic or place it on some additional stand, Blue-Yeti has a much better one. Seems like Rode didn't give that tripod enough love, maybe because they think everyone should be using a professional mic stand or a boom arm. Also, a mute button on the mic would have been a very useful feature, Blue-Yeti has it. Other than that, the mic is great, my voice sounds incredibly better compared to my cheap mic I used before, also from all of the comparisons I've seen on youtube, NT-USB does sound a bit better than Blue-Yeti. When I was watching review videos on youtube about these mics, very often I heard warnings that because these are condenser mics they record all of the background noise, so I was a bit nervous if the quality would be OK in my room where I have absolutely nothing for sound-proofing, also my PC is quite loud. If you are concerned about that too, I can tell you clearly that my previous cheap microphone although it was Dynamic not Condenser, it had enormously bigger amount of noise. Yes, you have to be quite in your room, you have to close the windows and preferably you have to be home alone for your recordings, but you would do that even with a dynamic mic too. Set your Rode NT-USB on about 20% level in the system settings and it's ready to go. Ok, I hope these tips will be useful for you guys, good luck to you and happy recordings! Thank you Amazon, UPS and Rode! Much Love! <3 <3 <3

Perfect for my basic setup, but beware of compatibility with shock mount
After looking at the accumulative cost of getting an XLR mic + interface etc, I decided to just get this USB mic after seeing the recommendations on YouTube, and I'm definitely happy with the result. Physically, everything is well constructed and feel solid and of high quality. I was a bit miffed by the excessively large packaging it came in though. Pretty sure it could be cut by 1/3 to a half with some sensible packaging design. The foam packing definitely kept the mic safe at an overkill level. I'm no audiophile so I can only say, I can notice the differences in sound quality vs my £30 desk mic. That said it could be a result of me spending a bit more time to set it up correctly software side, with reduced gain at the OS level. It's definitely better at reducing the noise level, again - perhaps due to my altered gain settings. That said it definitely still picks up my mouse and keyboard sounds, which isn't really that big of a problem for me. I also think it's more sensitive to the S's than my old mic, but this could be a direct result of having to be physically closer to the mic due to the reduced gain. At least the bundled pop filter works a charm with the Pah sounds! I was surprised by how useful the zero latency monitoring is, with access to the desktop audio at the same time. This allows me to hear myself clearly whilst playing games at the same time, without the short delay that I get from OBS, making it super hard to continue speaking. The downside is this is pre-mixed monitoring, so I can't hear my compressor, limiter and EQ at work. To be fair, as someone who's just starting out with streaming, I don't think it's a deal breaker. Any hardware solution would probably cost as much minus the mic - so it ends up being a nice bonus for me. One criticism I have is its compatibility with the PSM1 shock mount - which I'd expected full compatibility with. The pop filter's attachment to the base of the mic is at an angle, which means it can't go on the shock mount without turning the mic at an angle. Even after that, the filter ends up being pressed against one of the shock mount's supports, which could introduce scratches if I accidentally move / twist the filter. The bigger problem is that the shock mount limits access to the monitoring dials, where the dials are blocked by the shock mount's metal. If the filter was symmetrically attached and goes further out from the mic - it would solve this problem entirely. I suspect the same issue would occur with any shock mounts of similar designs, so the limitation is more strictly to the mic's design. Sadly I don't see any obvious fixes besides elongating the entire microphone to raise the dials. I've not used the table stand that came with the mic, which is a comparatively cheap bit of plastic against the quality metal of the mic. It seems silly that the stand took up as much room in the box as the mic, when I've got much better constructed fold-able metal ones from my cheap mic. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase as someone just starting out with streaming, and can't afford all the bells and whistles of XLR mics.

I was hesitant about it, read some recommendations and decided to buy it, and I am happy with my decision: it offers all the features of expensive devices but at a low cost, it is very light, the sound clarity is high, I can connect it directly to my phone or laptop, I learned to use it quickly and now I have a home studio .

Excellent quality microphone, though you might want to get an arm to attach it to, rather than the little tripod. The tripod is fine, but an arm is much more versatile. Picks up my voice beautifully and the included software does a decent job of filtering out extraneous sounds and keeping the volume consistent. And the plug is just a USB connection! None of that XLR nonsense.
