Baggallini womens Securtex Anti-theft Memento Crossbody Bag

I hesitate to submit reviews but I really liked this bag! I found it to be just the right type and size for both touring and social events, holding everything I needed (phone, glasses, etc) plus allowing me to cram in a few small purchases and still manage to zip it up. Lots of easy to access, secure compartments so I could isolate keys and currencies I wanted to keep with me but wasn't needing to retrieve daily. The clips that secure the zippers were easy to use, and disengage when not using.

This bag exceeded my expectations which I got for an international trip. It’s a narrow profile so it was discreet but held a lot of daily items I needed. I used the zipper pull latches to secure to the various metal loops. I kept my passport with me at all times in the large inside zip pocket and credit cards in the RFID exterior closure with the double zipper latches on one side (note the zipper gaps a little there but not at all an issue) so didn’t need my wallet (weird for me but it was the right move on this trip). There’s a center zip area there also and another zip compartment on that side for securing things. The reverse side has a sliding zipper pass-through fabric loop and in that section I kept things I needed frequently like alcohol wipes, receipts of the day in there, tissues, etc… In the main compartment I kept my phone, a backup phone battery, cables, and daily necessities. Small items such as lip moisturizer, hand mirror, emery board, phone, etc…i kept inside small open pockets there. And a pen in the vertical pen slot (prefer this to horizontal ones which always gets in the way). The bag has a round hole circled in silver on one side for a phone/camera charging cable to pass through but the end of my cable was too wide to fit through it. Ideally they should have a rubber gasket in case you don’t want to use it or can’t…had to cover that area with my arm in an unexpected rainstorm, but everything inside was kept dry. The bag feels heavy when loaded but when used as a crossover it’s very ergonomic and comfortable (I’m small framed). I felt safe taking public transport and in crowds. No matter where I am I’m always cognizant with my belongings and of potential opportunists eying to take your stuff. This would deter someone because it’s too much to fiddle with in a hurry. And they can’t easily cut the strap. Though note one side of the strap is permanently attached to the bag and the other has a clasp so you can attach to a chair or something to secure it. I added a tie there so no one could easily open it and run away with my bag (this is where Travelon strap clasps excel with their locking system and would be good for Baggalini to design a similar one). Now that I’m home I use it as my regular handbag. I like it that much. Got the burgundy color (was the only color available when I purchased it and love it and still looks brand new…I spot cleaned a small area with water once while away and you’d never know it). The bag was expensive…the biggest downside and a week after receiving it the price dropped nearly $20.00 and then went back up several days later. The only thing I missed while traveling was a water bottle holder on the bag but see they have a slightly larger bag that has one and had with the same security features..,anti-slash and zipper pull hook, compartments, etc… though not the same layout. Though I usually carried another bag with me…a backpack/sling with my raincoat, umbrella, snacks, and water bottles. The bag I purchased was very well designed and while expensive it is very well made and designed and is nice enough to take to a nice resturant or play.

Love this bag. It's small enough to carry comfortably and big enough for essentials. The blue pattern is neutral but cute. All the compartments are useful. The locks are good for travel.

I love everything about this bag except the narrow base/bottom. Once you put your personal items into the purse, it will NOT stand up. So if you expect to set this bag down it will be on it's side ALWAYS, unless you prop it up against something else. Perhaps it was not designed to stand up on it's own, but I have never had a purse that didn't. I will be sure to really look at the designs in the future if/when I purchase another bag. Other than that, I love the size, style and color. It's a quality product which is a standard for this brand. Aside from that one design error (in my view it could have been 1 inch wider and the issue could have been prevented.)

I have several Baggalini bags and I have never been disappointed in quality. In fact, the strap on this one actually seems more sturdy than the regular nylon ones (though I didn’t mind those either). This is not a big purse! If you were looking for a big purse, that will fit a ton of stuff, you will definitely need to look elsewhere. However, for reference, I typically carry a wristlet with just necessities. I found myself looking to be able to carry my money and cards and also throw my keys and Phone comfortably in a purse if needed as well. This is nearly impossible with a wristlet. In this bag, I fit all of my cards, cash, and coins in the attached wallet. I can then fit a travel size antibacterial sanitizer, Travel size contact lens case, a pen, my keys, lip gloss, and my phone if needed, and a few other “women” items when necessary. This all fits very comfortably But more than that, and the bag would become overstaffed and not comfortable to carry. I am not sure if it is entirely worth the price I paid off sale, but I would absolutely grab another one when the price of the other colors fluctuate. This would also be a perfect bag for travel if you normally carry a large bag and want to downsize just to travel. It also has many antitheft functions that I will not likely be using often. But they look very useful if you need that. However, terrific for every day use as well. If anything changes negatively to the quality or otherwise, I will come back and update my review.

It might be small but holds the essentials. The anti theft features were good. Perfect travelling purse.
