Finally, something comparable to my Leophile Eel
This review is for PHILIPS Bluetooth Neckband Headphones. So, I've gone through 3 or 4 pair of bluetooth neckband earbuds trying to find something comparable to my old Leophile Eel, which still works perfectly fine. It's just that the protective rubber cord around the wiring is splitting up where it meets each earbud. I'm afraid this will compromise the durability. Other than that my Eel has been fantastic. Sounds really good and I've never had technical issues with them. However, they are almost impossible to find now, as it seems that Leophile no longer exists or they are under a different name now. I wouldn't be surprised if they went under from selling such great earbuds at too low of a price (usually around $40-$60). The earbuds I went through before the Philips were the 'FIIL Digital Noise Cancelling Headphones' and the 'Picun Wireless Headphones 35 Hours Playtime Neckband Bluetooth Headphones LED Light'. The FIIL tore my ears up out of the box with extremely tinny highs that irritated my ears. After adjusting the EQ in Spotify and practically turning the high frequencies almost all the way down they were acceptable. They still didn't sound nearly as smooth and good as my Leophile Eel though. They do look and feel nice. However, your ears immediately know the quality of sound by how irritating it does or doesn't become to your ears after several minutes of listening. The Picun buds straight up just didn't sound as good as my Eel no matter what I did with them. Philips... these are good. Very good. They sound every bit as good as my Eel, which really surprised me, and right out of the box. Nothing irritated my ears, the S's sounded nice and smooth on a good quality sound file. That's a good sign. Even the built in voice sounded nice and clear. Coast to Coast AM podcasts sounded great. I am real happy with the sound quality. Someone here complained about there not being enough bass. There is plenty of bass. If you really want to ruin your ears then maybe a few might ask for even more bass, but I did not require it. I do have the EQ adjusted for more bass though, and I set my iPhone to the 'bass' option, so yes I like bass and require a good amount. I listen to old school hip hop and rap, motown, disco, house, techno, trance, edm, etc., and I did not require more bass than what I'm getting here. It sounds great to me. Everything sounds smooth and doesn't irritate my ears after a while of listening. That's important to me and a good indicator of sound quality. They are light but not cheapy light. They look and feel good. It comes with a micro USB > 3.5mm cord so you can plug them into a jack to listen. That cord is long enough to reach your knees. I have not tested that cord out yet. They connected to my iPhone immediately with no issues. I haven't used them long enough to know how well they stay connected but I don't expect any issues. The cords from the buds are thicker than my Leophile Eel so I appreciate that added durability for the bud cords. Haven't gotten to test how long they last. Very happy purchase so far. Overall these are probably the best neckband buds on here under $100 as long as they continue to work as advertised.

Nice In Ear Headphones
I just received the headphones yesterday. This was a replacement for a headphone that finally was not working. I am pleasantly surprised by the noise cancelling. I walked by a landscaper who was blaring the blowers and could not hear them unless I removed the earpiece. So far so good and I may buy the product again. I was easy to charge, simple set up and not too many features to make use complicated. Well done Phillips and the price was great. Solid bass with the NC feature. I needed something that would fit around my neck instead of just earbuds. UPDATE: As of December 27,2023. Power On/Off Button has had a problem really after the third month of this review. Instead of repair, I am looking for a new pair of NC around the neck Headphones. If the power Button was better this would be a good choice. but now after only a year and a bit, probably not.

New old stock but battery won’t hold a charge.
Bought these as a gift and while they sounded GREAT, these appear to be old stock. I suspected as much when I discovered the charging port was a micro-USB style. The battery was supposed to last 9 hours with ANC and 14 without. The battery in this brand new but old stock item would last more than 2 hours despite multiple chargings (as per manufacturers recommendations). 100% to 60% in less than an hour, below 30% on 90 minutes. As I said, the sound is great but had to return.

Charging port!
Very nice sound, great price, I'm sure someone mentioned the charging port tab is not attached to the headset. So when you're charging, you have to remove the little rubber tab and place it somewhere so you don't loose it. Otherwise great headset.

Not type-c and finicky after 2mo
(+) - Simple sound signature, not overly bassy - Long battery life (excellent standby time, I haven't ever run out of power (lowest 40% after 2 days) - Great ANC for droning sounds e.g., vacuum, bus engines, crowds of people - Magnets! - Turns itself off after a while when no music is playing (-) - Doesn't operate well in the cold - "Line in" (the physical mini-3.5mm port triggers randomly when bluetooth is on and no line is in and stops audio playback - Line when plugged in doesn't sit very comfortably - Poor ANC for 'point sounds' e.g., individual voices - Very poor ambient sound mode - Surprisingly large neckband and (shorter cables than expected) - Cable connection points feels like they're weak-points - Old (micro) usb connector (not type-c) - Magnets don't trigger play/pause

writing this review after the 1st day : 1. the product itself looks very good & made of premium-looking material. 2. audio quality : very balanced across bass, mid, treble. no exaggerated response anywhere. this is NOT a bass monster, so dont expect to feel like u are in a nightclub. the bass is natural sounding. 3. easy to use, all buttons are well laid out. the phones are very lightweight & i almost forget i am wearing them. i had no discomfort after 3 hours of use. 4. noise cancellation : as long as u keep realistic expectations, the ANC is generally good. it wont make your world disappear like with high end bose headphones. but it does a decent job of cutting out low rumbling noises & loud voices. quite useful if u are in a noisy home/office & want to focus on your meeting. 5. Inbuilt mic : has worked well so far & calls were very clear. 6. no opinion yet about google voice assistant as i dont use it. 7. the headset also (surprisingly) supports hi-res audio , but its wired only. not on bluetooth. thankfully, they have included the required cable to convert from 3.5mm jack to micro USB. have not tried it yet. should try tidal hifi & see if it makes a difference. it also comes with a nice carry case Overall, it does seem that philips has done a great job at the asking price of 10k. only time will tell if this product will withstand the daily rigors of travel, being stuffed in a bag etc. my sony bt headset lasted through 2.5 years of intense use before it finally fell apart. lets hope philips delivers on lifespan too. Finally, the product price has dropped 50% since i got it. its now 5k, which hurts when i paid 10k just few months ago. but anyone purchasing it now for 5k can get it without thinking.

Sound quality is really good. I also used a Sony High Resolution wired headphone with mic. To be very honest the quality of the mic of this product is far better than Sony. Sound quality is also better in some area. Very soothing but very powerful. You can clearly feel every punch and details of every beats. Noice cancellation is automatically works when the music is start and obviously because of it's design. Built quality is also appreciated. The very light weight earbuds are perfectly fits with my ear. And as I wear it for upto 8hrs in my office time and a bud is all time tucked in my ear, but it doesn't create any discomfort lavel at all. It take 2hrs to full charge, and the battery back up is also very good and matched with the company promises. Packaging quality is superb. It is IPX4 spalsh proof. Just one thing in my opinion, which will made this product much more acceptable is, if it will support the type C cable or charger as now a days many mobiles are supporting the type C cable or charger. Over all in this price range, this product is really a good pick for me.

These Philips Bluetooth Neckband Headphones are absolutely revolutionary, and I just got my hands on them! The reason I adore them so much is this: The first thing I want to say is how great the vibration call alert is. Stay connected even when you're fully engrossed in your music or workout. Without being overbearing, the soft hum will draw your attention. The feeling is similar to that of a discreet touch on the shoulder from a personal assistant. Quality of Sound: The sound is of the highest quality. The strong bass produced by these headphones with a neckband really brings the music you love to life. The sound is clear and complete, whether I'm listening to modern pop or old school rock. Impressive call clarity eliminates those pesky "Can you hear me now?" situations. You can understand each other just as well as if you were in the same room. Comfort is paramount, and these headphones more than deliver with their feather-light weight and stylish appearance. You won't have to worry about any pressure on your neck or ears from wearing these headphones for hours on end. In addition, they are fashionable and can be worn with any ensemble to exude tech-chic vibes.

I bought this product to replace a similar JBL set that I use when running. Sound quality is good and ear buds are a good fit but I find that the neck band is too loose and so tends to twist/move when I run. It’s not a terrible problem but it is annoying. If you are using these for day-to-day life then this won’t be a problem but I wouldn’t recommend these for running.
