Revlon Super Lustrous The Luscious Mattes Lipstick, High Impact with Moisturizing Velvety Formula, Hot Date, 0.74 oz

Wow, the Hot Date is unexpectedly vibrant BUT I absolutely love it! I usually try to go for more natural shades of lipstick, so when I chose this one I knew it might be a bit brighter than usual. It's definitely bold, but the matte looks fantastic and it lasts all day long. I did notice that I left lipstick traces on my straw as well as my fork when I ate dinner, but the lipstick was still magically on my lips as well. I also have to be careful when applying it, as when I try to draw on my lips it can get a bit crooked and I need to wipe the edges; however, I'm able to easily clean up the uneven parts with the tip of my finger or a tissue. Just shy of 50, this is only the second time I've bought Revlon brand lipstick. I'll definitely buy more and am anxious to try the shades just below and above the Hot Date on the color palette. Love it for its vibrant color, matte finish, staying power, and the fact that it gives me a showstopping smile!!!

Great product

This goes on smoothly and it lasts for several hours. Its a longer wearing lipstick than I expected, so I was pleasantly surprised at how long it stays on. The color is rich, and it has plenty of pigment. It goes on smoothly, like I would expect from a tube 'standard kind' of lipstick. It's a bit moisturizing but it has a matte look once it is on. The color name cracked my husband up - "HOT DATE" It is bright and it reminds me of the hot pink and black sequin dress I wore on my honeymoon. It's a very flattering color for blondes, and it isn't a shy color. It's not as bad at coming off on cups and cans as a lot of tube lipsticks are. I haven't had any problems with it getting on my teeth either- it stays put fairly well. I still prefer the really long lasting lipsticks that come with sponge applicators, but for a tube lipstick, this is great.

I think the wear is okay enough without being too drying. I just think the color is misrepresented in the photo. It looks like a lighter shade of pink than it actually is. I'm older so I don't like to wear dark shades that tend to not flatter. I'm keeping it but applying a light pink on top of it to tone down the darkness.

Arrived on time. Product color was in no way even remotely what I ordered. Definitely inferior quality and very misleading as far as what they advertised. Will be returning.
