Govee 5m LED Strip Lights, RGB Light with 44 Key Remote, IP65 Waterproof with Multicolour for Room, Bedroom, Kitchen, Yard, Party

The lights are well packaged, like most products today they have gone for the Apple look, all white simplistic box. Inside the lights were wound round two plastic reels. I put my lights under the architrave, the length of the wire runs down a corner of the walls to a plug socket. This length of the wires before the lights start (including the inline control and the transformer) is approximately 2 meters long. The lights are bright and colourful and very uniform. There are many, many colour adjustments and a few auto changing/flashing modes. The self adhesive strip was strong, however when starting at the first point I did put a small temporary piece of gaffer tape to help support it, until there was enough of the wire attached to wall to support itself. Cutting at the well marked cut points is a doddle with normal scissors. I was very fortunate that there was only 20cm that needed to be removed and discarded. Overall very pleased, it’s made the kids play room look really cool (dad points are through the roof). For what you get they are not a lot of money. UPDATE: The lights are so good, I bought a second set to go around my daughters bunk bed. They make her room look really fun and she loves them. UPDATE 2: Three LED’s on a length of the strip have stopped working (on the first set I purchased), we have had them in every night for the past 5 months and now a short section do not illuminate. I emailed [email protected] and received a response within less than 24 hours. I was asked to send the order number and a picture of the faulty section. Govee then sent me out a brand new set as replacement, which arrived only three days after the fault was reported. Whilst it was slightly disappointing that the lights had partially failed, the speedy response from their customer service means I would happily purchase Govee products again. The fact that there was no drama about the replacement, is a sign of a good company.

We attached these lights along one side of our shed. They look great. They light the side of the shed well. I was expecting them to light the patio area a bit more but I think this is to do with how they are positioned rather then the brightness. They were easy to attach to the shed and cut to size. It has only been a few days and has been dry since we stuck them along the shed so only time will tell if they will stay in place. I really like that they change colour. We have plugged them into the electric supply inside the shed. We have had to drill a hole in the side of the shed and thread the plug and control box through. This means that in order to us the remote control to change colour etc we have to go in the shed. It was unclear if the control box was water proof as well as the lights. I suppose you could attach the control box to the outside of the shed but something to consider when purchasing. Overall I am really impressed with the quality of the product for the price paid.

I purchased a 5m strip a couple if days ago and was impressed enough to order another 10m set yesterday that arrived today. I did not realise the 10m is in parallel (one plug/transformer with two 5m lengths going left and right). This meant I had to resituate the 5m set. I mention this not as a problem because I was prepared to rebuy a 5m set if I could not unstick/restick it into a new position but as it turns out the adhesive allowed a realitively easy re-siting of the lights and they proved sturdy enough to withstand the process. The two sets 5 m + 10m proved to be almost exactly the right length with about 1ft spare which I cut off. Both sets will work of a single remote and function really well. Now obviously I have just finished putting these up (and some conduit to hide the wires which I'd recommend) and tesyed them but cannit vouch for the longevity of the system. However, I found installation very simple and the lights look really nice... The first set I have tested at night and they are bright enough to illuminate my conservatory on full brightness and thete's plenty of control. With a push of a button, the colours can be changed to suit your mood (saving red for emergencies!) and no need to ever put Christmas lights up again because you can easily setup festive colours! I will probably buy more of these in the future. They're inexpensive , easy to fit and look great. My only minor complaint is that the wire from the transfirm to the LED strip could be longer to accomodate routing the strip to areas not near a plug-socket. In my case I was able to resolve thus using an extension lead. I would recommend using some kind of trunking to hide the cables too. Overall, I'm really happy with the lights and would definitely recommend them.

Really like these lights. Appear well made and hopefully will last a good time. Had a bit of a problem getting them to stick but suspect might have been down to operator error. Can I recommend them - why most certainly.

So i was looking for a string of LED lights that were long enough to basically stretch right along the back of most of the countertops for the worktops in my YouTube studio, these ones popped up with a decent amount of reviews so i decided to take the plunge. As you can see from the video, at full brightness that do give off an excellent backglow in a bright room, even better if the room is darker. The remote has all the general controls you would need, DIY memory buttons, R, G & B shortcuts, fade speed and inbuilt fade and shortcut menus for other common LED variations. The adhesive is 3M based, so once these were stuck to the back of the wooden worktops they were not going anywhere. All in all, a good set of basic LED strip lights.
