Why are these so hard to find? Are they being discontinued?

These are the worst containers I have ever dealt with. They DON’T hold up to cold temperatures even if it’s only 45 degrees Fahrenheit and I receiothem with 2 lids that were completely cracked into pieces and they cannot hold anything in them over 50lbs or they will bust open at the bottoms. You can’t stack them because if you stack them 3 high and each container is holding 50lbs then then the total weight is 150lbs so they begin to start cracking on the bottom of the bins and the tops and this is indoors at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s they were super disappointing and we ordered 2 orders of these fragile containers totaling 4 containers because in each order comes 2. For $150.00 for two I expected better durability and ended up with the most fragile containers I have ever had. Save your money and buy something else. These are total junk and I was surprised because these are “Rubbermaid”. The only purpose I could see someone purchasing these is if they wanted to store something that’s very light (like 10lbs-20lbs) and kept the containers indoors in temps between 75- 90 degrees Fahrenheit. These containers are completely junk. That’s probably why “Rubbermaid” discontinued them. But in all honesty don’t waste your time and money on these. The price is also ridiculously inflated considering what you get. They literally crack for any reason. I reported the issue to Amazon and we really needed the extra large containers so we placed 2 orders and one order came with the lids and containers totally cracked and broken into pieces so we thought that maybe it was just a “One Off” and we requested a replacement only to find out that they ARE INDEED garbage. So now we have 6 huge containers that are sitting in our living room ready to crumble into pieces with our belongings ready to explode onto the living room floor and at the price of $150.00 x’s 2 (=$300.00) we had to wait till we had the buget to purchase REAL storage containers to address the issue. For the time being we have 2 out of the 6 that we received cocooned with duct tape to stop the explosion of our belongings onto the living room floor. So disappointed in this hot mess of storage containers.

Just purchased and comments say it's only 1 storage box with lid, ad shows and says set of 6. So am I receiving 6 bins with lids?

Yes, I ordered the pack of 3 and I only got 1 bin & 1 lid. Amazon gave me a credit but I guess I have to go to a store to buy the other 2. Don't know why they don't offer purchasing just 1, when they only send one!

Can these store food in a commercial freezer?

If you do, ensure that the food that you put into the bin is stored inside an air tight container. Some of my bins have outgassed so badly that linens smell really, really bad.

what are the outside dimensions of the 14 gallon storage container?

The lid is 24 inches in length and 15.5 inches wide. With the lid on the 14 gallon is about 12 inches high. So the outer dimensions are 2 feet long, 15.5 inches wide and 1 foot high. The length and width will be the same as the 18 gallon and the 10 gallon totes. The 18 gallon, 10 gallon, and 14 gallon use the same size lids.
