Platinum PNB-20000R#5-2 fountain pen # 3776 Century Nice fine print (F)

This is a F-nib pen of the special edition “NICE” of Platinum 3776 fountain pen. As a lover of Platinum, I owned UEF and EF nibs. Now I am very happy with this F nib. 1) it is much smoother than I expect from Platinum. It is almost as smooth as Pilot pen. To me, this is bad because it lost the feature of Platinum. 2) the nib’s shape is slightly different from the default 3776 nib. This nib tip seems more intruding making it seems more precise, whereas the default nib’s shape is more like a triangle. 3) the nib and all the metal parts are in rose gold color. 4) the converter is the silver version. 5) it flows well and is a wonderful writing instrument that I love.

Beautiful nib! Smooth writer, makes my handwriting look nicer than usual. I own Sailors, Pilots, kawekos, TWISBIs, etc and this pen makes my writing look better than when using any one of all of them. One thing I dislike is the texture of the pen body, but I can ignore that because it’s such a good writer. You can feel the grooves in the resin and if you have texture issues, you might not like this pen. The texture is smooth on the grip, however (there is no texture on the grip, it is smooth resin). Clean the pen out first before inking it up…I didn’t and it wouldn’t write at first. Once I cleaned it, the pen wrote beautifully. This pen comes with a converter and an ink cartridge. The converter is really good quality and easily pulls up to get a good fill. The pen is postable, and though I don’t like to post pens, this one is comfortable posted. The ink didn’t come out well when I did some reverse writing. Overall I’m happy with it! I just didn’t give it a 5 because of the texture-I’m sensitive to textures.

It is smaller than I thought. It's very light. It feels fragile and cheap. The plastic is cloudy and it has longitudinal inner grooves that make it harder to see the inside mechanism. The nib feels a bit scratchy. The nib looks great. That's about it. I really wanted to like it but I'm just disappointed.
