The B Supply Large House Chicken Coop is a fir wood poultry and rabbit hutch designed to comfortably fit up to six chickens. It features a slide-out cleaning tray for hassle-free maintenance, a front door with an access ramp, and a sliding ventilation window to ensure proper airflow. While it offers spacious nesting and practical design elements, some users note the wood's softness and limited weather resistance, making it ideal for mild climates or protected outdoor spaces.

The quality is very poor not worth the money I paid!!!!!!
The quality is garbage and will not with stand the New England winter as I was putting it together is was falling apart. The wood is extremely soft and my best guess not waterproof/no shingles to keep rain from getting in. At the top where the peak is, is already cracked from the elements. If I could return it without it costing me more money I would. Also the directions were not that great when it came to trying to put the hinges in. the wood was so soft it didn't have much to grab a hold of to stay securely in. A good note it fits six chickens!!

Good Coop
This has been a good coop for my chickens. It comfortably fit my 6 chickens with some room to spare, if we had a bigger run the coop could probably accommodate a couple more. The tray is nice to help with clean out. If you put a bunch of straw in it like I do you can't just pull it out, but you can clean close to you, and slowly pull the tray out to bring the rest of the straw close enough to grab without having to stick your head in the coop. The ramp did break, as did the portion of the nesting box lid that holds it up to make it easier to collect eggs (specifically the arms detached from the lid). Not a big deal. We had a baby chick hatch and I put some regular bricks to give it steps up into the coop and it worked fine. Security has been fine, but we honestly aren't even sure it's been tested as we have a dog run around the coop that has hardware cloth running around the bottom and I don't think anything has gotten in.

Easy, quick, big enough for large breeds.
For the price, you can't beat this coop. We had a few pieces that were broken during shipping, but nothing we couldn't' fix with some wood glue, clamps and/or tiny screws. We have Buff Orpingtons (large breed chickens) in this coop; 1 large rooster and 5 of his hens. They seem to be cozy when they roost at night on the bars. They fit in the nesting boxes ok - though they look a little awkward. I took out a nesting panel to make one side larger, but they don't like that side. The nesting boxes bottoms are slats, and have potential for a lot of breeze. I put cardboard lining in for now, underneath the shavings. The pull out tray is functional, but not good if you wanted to do any kid of deep litter obvoiusly. We lined the ceiling of ours with foam insulation board and it helps to keep it about 5* warmer than the outside air. I believe additional insulation boards would at least double that. The hinges are very cool - they hold the nesting lids open while you collect. Everyone loves the look of my coop and I get constant compliments. My carpenter husband hated it - but he doesn't have time to build one. So it works. And it took all of 30 minutes to assemble with a screw gun. The ramp was a joke - broke off at the tiny brackets in a day or two. We had to build another anyways, as we mounted ours on cinder blocks. I love that it was all put together - because I wanted a nice place for my chickens, but didn't have time to build it. We are coating it with sealer, then using caulking in the roof slats, - it's not waterproof.

Good Enough.
Compared to the competition, this is a nice alternative. This product does not seem too durable, and the lifespan will probably not last many years; however, it serves our purpose until I construct a more permanent structure. The instructions come on a large sheet of paper, but is relatively easy to construct even with the limited instructions. It really looks nice once finished. Access to the nesting areas is very convenient.... Just be careful when opening the lid or the hens can easily escape. I live in a very wildlife-intensive area, and am worried about a raccoon manipulating the back door latch. I've constructed a perimeter around the coop and "exercise yard" fence with snares and barbed wire to ward of coyotes, coons, possums, and skunks. We'll see if that works, as the chickens are being moved into their new abode this week.

Looks Nice At First But Doesn't Last Long
I purchased this coop on November 7, 2013. It arrived with a couple of pieces broken. The box was not damaged in any way. I contacted the seller and they did replace one part and gave me a credit for the other one. Now it's January 30, 2014 and this thing is not holding up well. A couple more pieces have broken or come apart. It will be doing good if it lasts 6 months. The wood is very fragile and splits, cracks, and breaks easily. It has been a big disappointment and waste of money in my opinion.

The good the bad and the ugly
bad: I'm not a carpenter, but I am a dealership mechanic so I'm fairly comfortable assembling components. The assembly instructions or rather the lack thereof, consists of a single page with blurry blown up images. I thought dealer installed accessories had the worst instructions, nope this does by a long way. The wood is felt like a cross between balsa and pine and all the reviews pictures showed the fasteners splitting the wood, so I used wood clue to add some extra strength and went easy on the bolts and screws. The good: we are new to chickens so we wanted something simple, inexpensive, lookshalfwaydecent and has room in the roof for a micro swamp cooler(it can get over 130 at the hottest). The design of this coop is actually pretty clever although the 6 nest boxes look like they might be a bit cramped, but the dividers can be easily removed. The instructions actually start to make some sense once the walls are up, we ran into a snag later on though when we realized the sides were on upside down, once that was corrected it all fell into place. I would like to recommend this but if you live somewhere where it rains and gets cold (not in yuma,AZ) the thin walls and gaps could pose a problem. Our chickens are also quite small so it will be awhile before they will use it.

Good purchase
Met my needs for 6 chickens. My daughter (age 7) and I put together easily and quickly. Nothing was damaged in shipping (previous coop purchase was). Chickens seem very happy. Would definitely recommend as a relatively inexpensive coop for 6 chickens. For us it beat building one from scratch.
