Intense Flavour, but a Bit Pricey
The Gourmet Spice Company Fiery Togarashi is undeniably a powerhouse when it comes to delivering intense and robust flavors. This spice blend brings a delightful heat that elevates my dishes, adding a fiery kick that's perfect for those who love a bold culinary experience. The great aspect of the Fiery Togarashi is its well-balanced combination of spices. The chili heat is complemented by citrusy and savory notes, creating a complex flavor profile that enhances a variety of dishes. From noodle bowls to grilled meats, this spice blend brings a unique and exciting twist to my meals. However, the one drawback is the price point. While the quality and flavor are undoubtedly exceptional, the quantity provided for the price may leave some feeling a bit wanting. Considering the small size of the container, it might not be the most budget-friendly option for those who use spices frequently or in larger quantities. On the positive side, a little goes a long way with the Fiery Togarashi. The potency of the blend means that even a small sprinkle can have a significant impact on the overall taste of your dish. So, while the initial investment may seem steep, the long-lasting nature of the product somewhat justifies the cost. The packaging is well-designed with a convenient sprinkle top, allowing for controlled dispensing. The resealable cap ensures that the spice blend stays fresh over time, maintaining its full flavor profile. In conclusion, the Gourmet Spice Company Fiery Togarashi is a fantastic addition to any spice collection, offering an explosion of flavor that adds depth to your cooking. While the price may be a deterrent for some, the quality and intensity of the blend make it a worthwhile splurge for those seeking a culinary adventure.

Lacks flavour and spice!
I use Japanese 7 spice powder a lot as it calls for it in many Japanese dishes such as sushi and noodles. This is very affordable and good value for money, however it lacks flavour if I’m being honest, I’ve read a similar review. If you use a Japanese brand of seven spice, you’ll get a true authentic tasting seasoning, this however isn’t that hot and is really lacking. Versatile for use sprinkling over meats, sushi and noodle dishes - adds a little flavour and spice. Great for marinading meat also. You have to use quite a bit to get any flavour from the powder, I don’t think it’s that great to be honest but it’s suitable. I’ve used better seasoning powders and I’d say stick to Japanese brand, they’re a lot better. This powder is similar to the one on the tables in Wagamama, it doesn’t taste the same though. It’s got a little bit of a kick but nothing too exciting. I wouldn’t purchase this brand of seven spice again to be honest, and personally it wouldn’t recommend it.

Makes great vegan soup
This is my favourite condiment and spice mix. It makes the most amazing lentil soup. Half a kilo of dried red lentils, put them in a pan, cover them with water and let them soak overnight. Chop a large white onion and as much garlic as you like. Then chop 2 fennel bulbs and fry them with the onion and garlic, and sesame oil until they are all soft. Then open a can of chopped tomatoes and add them to the fried vegetables. Rinse the lentils, add water and boil until soft. Once they are soft, add them to the onion, garlic and fennel mix. Return to the heat and stir. Then add 2 teaspoons of Togarashi spice . At this point, you can add some soy sauce and some more sesame oil. It is completely vegan, but if you are a meat-eater, you can add some cooked chicken at the end; it's great for leftovers. Your soup should look red, thick and glossy. When i made it for my dad, he called it Rita Hayworth soup.

Great hot spice
This mix of hot spices is great! It dosnt have a strong taste that spoils food, just a nice mild taste and plenty of heat.
