Power pole connectors are the standard that many use for providing power to radios and accessories. These are standard sized, fit my crimper correctly and have caused me no issues. Exact same size and thickness of the big name brand, but at a cheaper price. I keep a handful in my toolkit. Get them, you'll be satisfied.

I am practically addicted to Anderson Power Poles. I needed some more fast so tried these. These match the originals so well - in every tiny detail - one might accuse the seller of something.These don't have the roll pins, but come with dust boots. I've never liked the roll pins, since they put too much pressure on assembled connector pairs. I've had pairs pop apart from the tension, and if the pair stays together they tend to splay the mating ends to a point that they are hard to mate with another connector pair. I always glue the connectors together. I'm not sure if the boots are actually going to be useful, since the other end of the connector is completely open, and a mated pair isn't remotely close to weatherproof. But at least I can give 'em a try.

Fortunately my neighbor had the right crimpers. And I kept melting one of the connectors because I wasn't quite sure how to hook it up properly. I was connecting my batteries to my electric bike. And as I was writing a long. One of them melted. Took it over and showed my friendNeighbor, he said they were not connected right. So while watching TV, I looked up how to connect them. And got it set up right finally using an old fashioned wire crimper. A $6.00 tool. work better than the $20.00 one I bought. These connectors work really good. Power pole, the world !! this is an amazing kit that allows you to easily make your own power connections. I have been working on setting up a ham radio station and have been using these for all of my power connections. This makes connection and disconnection a breeze. Good quality product and great value for the money spent.

It’s been easy rigging up auxiliary wiring for gadgets in my camper using these.

I was hoping for a easy to use connector for some small battery projects, the big thing for me was having the connections protected on both sides because we were hooking up 2 batteries in parallel and having a exposed male end made a possibility of a accidental short.These looked great and i have had this style connector in the past on other components and they have worked well, not this version, these are garbage.I crimped on the ends, installed them in the plugs and plugged in the battery to test and i was only getting a half volt through the system (14v battery) i tried to double check the plugs were seated correctly and would get a spark but still no more than .4 or .5 volts. I unplug them and looked at the contacts and they were pushed back off of their position, so i reseated them and tried again, i did this for a while and quickly the plastic housing got loose and did not want to even friction hold the contacts any more. I tried to unbend the contacts to give them a better hook to grip the spring with and no joy. So i was pissed and tried to just quickly solder the batteries back in, but i left the metal crimps in place and just tried to solder across the crimps, same result.My conclusion is the metal used is very poor and has a very high resistance, in addition the way these are made the metal needs a little hook at the bottom to engage the spring and stay firmly in the housing which these do not they just rely on friction. Finally the plastic may have held up for a while but after all of the trouble shooting it failed and the product has no redeeming qualities.
